Australis 3/1 William Hill.
August 3, 2020 at 16:16 #1496219He’s cost me a few bob, but there’s still a bit of encouragement to be taken from Kaloor this season.
Jim Crowley looks a positive booking, and I’ll definitely be betting him.
Not 100% convinced I’ll bet him before Final Decs, and the 10’s looks just ok, I’d rather have bigger, but he’s the one for me, right now anyway.
Kaloor
August 3, 2020 at 18:26 #1496232I won’t bet Australis at that price Mike, but I agree with you, I think that you’re on the winner there.
August 3, 2020 at 19:13 #1496238Kris it was the best price I could get with price as low as 7/4 with other bookies.
August 4, 2020 at 09:39 #1496264Mike, I wasn’t saying that 3-1 is a poor price, more that I personally didn’t fancy betting at that price. I’m mainly a big punter on Golf, so most of my racing bets are very small, hence not much point me betting at 3-1.
I think it’s a very good price though, good luck.
August 4, 2020 at 12:25 #1496270Bobby, agree with you on Kaloor, was fairly eye-catching the last time + was well supported. Got a bump and had to go wide to run on, but all too late. Hopefully 2miles at Ascot will suit him.
Menuisier is flying at the moment which is a positive, hopefully this doesnt turn into a big cliff horse.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!August 4, 2020 at 15:19 #1496278He’s a small cliff horse for me Jack, but thankfully, nothing major lost on him.
Agree, definitely some excuses last time, and he’s not been that bad, despite the losses mounting up.
Decided to take the 10’s just now.
August 5, 2020 at 14:40 #1496355Kaloor as short as 5/1 with some bookies. I took 10/1 ew along with my bet on Australis.
August 7, 2020 at 15:31 #1496489I have this very tight on the figures and it’s difficult to count out any contenders. However, ISLAND BRAVE (25/1 available in a number of places) hasn’t been tried very often over two miles but has some creditable efforts to his name over that distance. Staying on in the closing stages in each race this season, he might slip under the radar here as many of these have been collared by the handicapper on recent form.
August 7, 2020 at 17:51 #1496495Rob, I think that Island Brave is very interesting too. The 4Pls makes him more appealing at odds around 25-1. I will split him with Eddystone Rock for the win.
August 8, 2020 at 11:49 #1496593Red Force One for me; seems like last run was a prep for this and will love the ground.
August 8, 2020 at 15:05 #1496607Brilliant Rob and Jeff, what a shout
August 8, 2020 at 15:12 #1496609Yeah, amazing shout
August 8, 2020 at 15:13 #1496610Thanks very much! Needed niggling along four out, but once he progressed in the straight I was pretty confident. Just looked as if the handicapper had got hold of most of them, and that’s the time to on one at a fancy price.
