    BHA senior handicapper has rated Ruler Of The World 120 after his Derby success with Libertarian on 117

    Oaks winner Talent has been given a rating of 114.

    Vin ordinaire for 2013 it would seem!

    Doesn’t really help the handicapper when they go that slow, and finish so close together.

    That is so true. Ruler Of The World wouldn’t have been suited by a crawl. He has improved race by race and will probably improve further.

    For what it’s worth I have him rated 117 as well but I expect him to improve on that.

    Does the ‘Handicapping Team’ take standard times in to consideration when producing a rating?

    If not, how do they barometer the 3yo’s against the older horses until they meet?
