according to Peter Naughton and Jonathan Neesom today is the premier summer jumping day – who knew Market Rasen 18 July was the biggest day if summer racing

More to the point, it is the height of summer (believe it or not), flat season, good quality card at Newbury and they are spending more time talking about Market bloody Rasen.

Who the hell makes these ridiculous decisions?

RUK are desperately trying to make Market Rasen sound important today, but it isn’t washing with me, it isn’t Cheltenham.

That Dave Yates was on again last – what a complete bore.

Apart from his regular tedious RUK replay plug he came up with the little gem that horses running for the first time gelded with form in the book are highly suspicious, must have problems and are to be avoided.
Pity Angus put him right during the race rather than live on air.

How long has he been racing correspondent of the Daily Mirror? I don’t recall any presenter or pundit coming up with that particular line of drivel before.

He keeps telling us he specialises in 2 yo races but he would be skint following his own tips in them on all available evidence.

There are far too many passengers on RUK, it could be slimmed down and cost less than half the price.

Dave Yates is very difficult to listen to…….he has long pauses between words and puts about 6 sub-clauses in every sentence, meandering around all over the place

Get to the point, man !

I had the impression that Angus was getting fed up with him last night and was on the verge of finishing his sentences for him to move things along !

(There’s another guy with similar speech patterns who appears occasionally on he Sunday Forum but I can’t rememnber his name)

I thought you were Dave Yates very similar names hahah

He is very smug like he believes he has a right to be on there and everyone listen to him.
