    I think it showed common sense what Ruby did, a lot of people these days seemed to have forgotten what that is. As for picking up the wrong flag, I think as a jockey he knows which flag to pick up. Otherwise he might ignore the flag like John White did in 1993.

    You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
    Don't mess with mister in between.

    As for picking the wrong flag up, don’t mention Sedgefield.

    The RP article seems to have Aintree praising Ruby for his actions, stating that jockeys are encouraged to get involved in an emergency. With Ruby’s experience I think it can only have helped the situation.
