George Ennor is dead FFS!
September 4, 2007 at 10:16 #113533
September 4, 2007 at 11:46 #113544As it’s an obituary (which I think I’m right in saying, are usually written well ahead of time so they are ready to print a day or so after someone famous pops their clogs), George Ennor may well have written this well in advance.
September 4, 2007 at 14:56 #113585blimey, I’d NEVER thought of that PB
September 4, 2007 at 17:08 #113599Thought you were suggetsing they had put his name at the end of the piece by mistake.
So
to you too!
September 4, 2007 at 19:25 #113626isn’t it usual to end an obit with "is survived by……."?
i seem to recall, around Steve Cauthen’s time, that there was a lady amateur riding also named Vittadini ?

September 4, 2007 at 22:26 #113653Also, I believe his daughter, Franca, rode in the Ladies Race on the Ascot Diamond Day Card. If memory serves me right she may in fact have ridden the winner of one of these races, possibly in the lates 70’s early 80’s.
