Royal Ascot Heath Enclosure

Hi I am going to royal ascot on the 23rd, and am going to the heath enclosure.
Does anyone know how close you can get to the rails/course?
Has anyone here been to the heath before and could help me?
Is it easy to get to the heath?

Also any tips for getting the best view, and what time should I get to ascot (to queue)?
I’ve never been to ascot before so any help would be greatly appreciated

We used to go to Ascot on the Saturday after the Royal meeting for years but when they redesigned the course and the entrance fee went through the roof we stopped going. There used to be a tunnel under the course to the Heath Enclosure but I’m not sure if that is still the case.

Do you have any suggestions as to what time I should get there, to get to the front of the heath?

I’d get there as early as you can Patrick, there’s a huge crowd every day so best to try and beat the crowds and find the best position to watch the action.
