Did Mr O’ Brien say where he may run next?
The International Stakes at York?
I honestly think he shall not lose another race all season now.

Saw the Sussex this morning, ran well didnt he. Certainly made Hughes get urgent on CC who looked in trouble a furlong out!!…..Once CC got upsides though he seemed to come back on the bridle!!.
He’ll be hard to beat for sure i think over 1m 2f

The Juddmonte would definitely be his easiest chance to bag a 1m2f group one.
Only problem now I guess for O Brien is what to do with Cape Blanco… I don’t think he will want this 3 year old to clash with RIP in the Juddmonte or with Fame and Glory in the Irish Champion.
imo I would say RIP is the most likeliest runner over Cape Blanco in the Juddmonte

But CC was barely touched with the whip.
I think CC stalled a bit in some going that was loose on top when asked to go after RWV (see Borderlescott thread)
For me the 2010 RVW is not as good as last year’s.
Certainly over a mile he’d struggle to hold off Goldikova, Paco Boy, Dick Turpin or Canford Cliffs
Maybe has to go further

Id agree with you there
Hes a very good miler but Goldikova and Canford Cliffs are exceptional and I just dont see how he could reverse form with them this year after seeing the Sussex, I actually thought he would beat CC the other day but CC put him in his place even with a brilliant effort from RIP.
I think he does have to step up to take advantage of lesser competitive 1m2f events.
The Juddmonte would be a far easier task than say the QEII although Im presuming they will use the QEII as his prep for the Breeders Cup.
Having said all that O Brien says he will improve further for his Goodwood run so who knows…
July 30, 2010 at 21:49 #310099Aiden’s comments pre-race were very informative. For sure they after winning some bug races this autumn with him.
