Has AOB said where he intends to run him this year, I can’t find anything on him!
I’m guessing Newbury and then the Prince of Wales stakes at Royal Ascot?
April 25, 2010 at 06:51 #292359RP Stable Tour on Monday:
"We haven’t made definite plans for him just yet and we’ll have to see how forward he is before deciding whether to start him off in the Lockinge Stakes before heading for Royal Ascot or to wait and run him first time out at Royal Ascot. We would be favouring the Queen Anne Stakes over the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at this stage…"
April 26, 2010 at 00:10 #292541Any news from AOB on how the ex-Aussie Starspangledbanner is getting on? Where is he likely to reappear? See he’s entered in the Golden Jubilee (12/1) and Queen Anne (11/1).

I heard a few weeks back he was being aimed at a 6F race at York.
Whether those plans have changed in the meantime, I don’t know.
April 26, 2010 at 12:06 #292573Thanks IC,
Seems as though they’re trying to make him in to a sprinter then. Probably because they’ve got others for a mile. With the Duke Of York at the Dante meeting showing whether he’s going for the Jubilee or a step up to 1m for the Queen Anne. With possibly Rip Van Winkle tackling the Prince Of Wales.
Cheers.

"He did his first canter on the grass this morning and we were very happy with him," he said. "We are hoping to have him ready for he Duke of York Stakes at York." (14/4/2010)
April 26, 2010 at 17:44 #292630If RVW goes for the Queen Anne that’ll be one hell of a Royal Ascot opener.
Rip Van Winkle, Paco Boy AND Goldikova? Thats a little bit mouthwatering!
April 27, 2010 at 10:12 #292738Thanks guys. Question regarding another Ballydoyle inmate…
Has there been any more news of
Jan Vermeer
?
To my eyes he should be second fav for Epsom on form. Last I heard he’s had a slight setback and may start off in the Irish 2000. But the trip will be on the short side, won’t have much time before Epsom either, if that’s the time zone they’re aiming at. His price on betfair indicates either might not make it there through injury, or (if St Nicholas Abbey wins the English 2000, they might be kept apart (possibly the French Derby)? If it’s a case of the latter, don’t mind putting him in 4 or 5 lists of the totetentofollow. If he’s going to miss all Derbys, might be one to keep in reserve for July?Value Is EverythingApril 27, 2010 at 23:13 #292871He’s going for the french guineas according to his trainer
