Seems to have fallen out with another good young jockey after a good period together. Jonathan Moore hasn’t ridden for her in a number of weeks and is back riding in Ireland. Couple of years ago Paul Townsend used to go over when there was no racing in Ireland. Jonathan Burke did the same, then she started using Trevor Whelan for a while and they had great success so she got rid of him, then started using Moore this season and he was going quite well so she got rid of him. What’s going on? Clearly all these jockeys get good rides from other top owners and trainers. Moore with noel meade, townend with Mullins, Burke with Potts until this summer and Whelan with a variety of trainers. She seems to be the common denominator in all the falling outs, it looks strange that with many of these jockeys there is a period of success before they part company, seems strange to me.
December 31, 2016 at 21:21 #1279568As far as I am aware Moore was the only one with an actual job? How can anyone comment if they are not privy to the actual facts? It would be completely wrong to be pointing fingers without knowing.

Likewise James King, son of Racing Post’s Amdrew, at Newbury.
January 3, 2017 at 10:01 #1280044There is an article on the RP website today. “..his brief tenure as stable jockey… appears to be over.” “He has a young baby in Ireland…”
Most babies are young :)
