For a while know, i never know what website i want to you use to pick out my losers

I was wondering what your view is on the two sites and which one you advise me to use. Picking them out the daily papers are awful.
There are many adv/dis-adv about both sites.
I surpose sportinglife is limited so doesn’t come into the question im asking.

Whats your opinion?——————————————————

——————————————————June 13, 2008 at 07:38 #168148I use the RP to keep abreast of latest news. Also, I use it as a starting point to my form study of the next day’s/day after’s races. However, I only really use their form guide as a means of checking when a horse last ran so I can then use my form-book to start studying.
At The Races is very good for watching the day’s racing covered by ATR. Also, the archived section is an additional extra that’s well worth looking into.
Channel 4’s website also has free videos of the day’s racing from RUK tracks. As long as you’re registered with the RP you can watch these for free.

I never knew that.
The ATR site must be one of the slowest on the internet… The only reason for looking at it is the video form – Otherwise stick with the RP.. We are lucky to have such a good service for free imo
June 13, 2008 at 12:36 #168205From a breaking news pov, Sportinglife is updated much quicker than the Post site- I use it to see what’s happening in the lead up to big races etc. The Post form is plenty good enough for me, and combined with ATR/C4 video is really all you need.
June 13, 2008 at 14:32 #168226Perhaps it’s the characteristics of my home broadband service, but I find ATR is quicker than the RP website.
I have to run ATR replays at 225K in the evening otherwise it keeps buffering. With the Racing Post site, if the speed is slow, the race ‘buffers’ so that leaving for a minute or two allows a straigth run through without pauses.

I was referring to the site generally not the video’s as I don’t watch them on the RP site.
June 13, 2008 at 22:30 #168284I think the Tipsters on Sportinglife.com are pretty good.
The Racing post Naps usually run well – though I have no stats to corroborate that.
And Templegate in The Sun – sorry!
(I only read it for the pictures…mainly towards the front.)

June 14, 2008 at 02:20 #168293Templegate, from the ancient celtic meaning of or pertaining to useless advice. Still, it’s not quite as bad as the origins of Claude Duval…

“So, that was Templegate. And our next word is… [ping] …Sodmonster. A definition, please, Frank Muir…”

June 14, 2008 at 08:20 #168303Er, Jeremy, the picture is from, errr, Ask The Family. Or was that question for "Mother and younger child only"?

June 14, 2008 at 11:08 #168330Try and stay away from ATR at all costs , they do have a bias towards the bookies , generally feature low grade fare and if you must watch it then for goodness sake keep on mute
As for the website , its so slow i think its a waste of time

Post edited accordingly – found jpegs for each show and uploaded the wrong one. Typical post-at-2.50-in-the-morning sort of mistake, really…gc
