I’m trying to upgrade my account, and I’ve changed my card details at the same time.
However, I’m getting an error message that I can’t use my card until after my first payment! Well, its the bloody first payment I’m trying to make!
April 18, 2010 at 06:56 #290922This is REALLLY infuriating.
I added some money to my wallet, to see whether that would re-activate my card.
Now says my card is expired. Expires 2012.
Tried paying by using my credit card. Says that expires as well. Expires in 2012.
Then decided to pay via my wallet.
Put money into my wallet.
The wallet ain’t an option!
April 18, 2010 at 06:58 #290923The really ridiculous thing about this is that I’ve already used my bank card and my credit card this morning to buy products from the RP shop.
April 18, 2010 at 07:14 #290925Wouldn’t telling them, rather than us, be more productive?
April 18, 2010 at 10:00 #290940Worst thing about the paper – on Saturday, "minor" meetings like Thirsk, form is reduced to past two races.
Reduction in service for the main racing day – poor
April 18, 2010 at 11:30 #290952Also no colours for the Irish Meetings yesterday.
The Irish meetings were the only ones on ATR yesterday afternoon. For £1.90 I would expect moreApril 19, 2010 at 22:27 #291261My complaint is that they never show hunter chases on RPTV except the two foxhunters. There was an interesting winner at Hexham Eliza Dooalot that would have been worth seeing.
April 19, 2010 at 23:11 #291273You can just go on the ATR website and watch the 5.05pm from Hexham for free.
April 20, 2010 at 08:29 #291286In Ireland, the recently launched Irish RP is the dogs boll**. They’d previously neglected our meetings in the UK edition but now they are pride of place. We’ve a brilliant bloodstock supplement on a Thursday and a really interesting Point to Point supplement on a Wednesday. Point to Point racing has appealed to me but it was always poorly covered and hard to find out what going on and where.

For UK pointing. Weatherby’s Chase Go Pointing and Loose Leaf for the serious punter supplemented with the Weekender. Horse and Hound give reports of most meetings and results and the free site Jumping For Fun has a top class discussion forum on the sport with plenty of information about meetings, form horses, buses to meetings (me for that) and grub guides (again me for that one). It also has links to course websites and area websites where you can get directions to meetings.
Entries are available through area websites and the Weatherby’s site on a Friday for non subscribers.
There is a wide of variety of racing still to come throughout the rest of April, May and on into June. Just needs a bit of rain to stop the fields cutting up where they can’t water.
