Prompted by Pru’s thread on Spotlight prices, I checked how the RP sales were doing.
In the latest ABC circulation figures, which came out on Friday, the RP’s average for August is 60,363.
That’s more than 10% down YoY, despite the fact that the York Ebor meeting was abandoned in 2008 but went ahead this time around.
Worrying times?

)September 13, 2009 at 18:26 #248651Take away the at least two copies for each of the nation’s 8,000 or so betting shops and factor in that they reportedly sell around 150,000 or so on a Saturday. You’d also expect an above average sale on a Friday and during Glorious Goodwood which fell a couple days in the month
It makes you wonder how many they sell on a quiet Monday or Tuesday doesn’t it?
If only the other daily had been given a bit more time.September 14, 2009 at 01:02 #248732I dont know about any other office workers who work in the centre of a large town, but i read the rp in the bookies near my office on a lunch time, it gets me out of the office.
