I really can’t contain it but ALTIOR wins this so easily and will beat min further in this than the supreme.
Feel like we have only scratched the surface with Altior.
Not even confident min finishes 2nd.The great thing is everyone has an opinion. I cant wait for this race.
January 24, 2017 at 21:46 #1283634Altior hasn’t done enough wrong this season for me to think Min can turn the tables, the horse really does look a monster, can see him beating Douvan in next seasons Champion Chase.

Douvan is probably not going to be in next years champion chase if he wins it this year
January 24, 2017 at 21:57 #1283640Backed altior a while back for it, still wouldnt be surprised though if min where to win, no question he has a massive task to overcome, but hes appeared so far like he will be a far superior chaser than hurdler…. great race
Big shout to say he could beat douvan, he would have to improve a fair amount to be considered for that, douvan seems to be something special, even with sizing johns win albeit over further, douvan regularly brushed him aside like he was nothing, altior hasnt faced that over fences

Ah yes forgot about that, they still planning on the Gold Cup then?
Regardless, Altior even more likely to win next years big race then
January 24, 2017 at 22:01 #1283644What price is Altior for next years Champion Chase Ben…?
Get on early, the bookies may be slow in sussing Douvan’s future targetsBlackbeard to conquer the World
January 24, 2017 at 22:10 #1283650No idea, will check oddschecker now, payday tomorrow though so if there are no odds up yet I’ll email some bookies tonight to get a price
January 24, 2017 at 22:10 #1283652What would you guess it’d be Nath? I reckon 5/1
January 24, 2017 at 22:11 #1283653Wouldn’t back it at any shorter than that with 14 months still to go lol
January 24, 2017 at 22:21 #1283655Paddy are offering 6/1 for Altior to win the 2018 Champion Chase, couldn’t find odds on any other books but to be honest didn’t look very hard, assuming they’ll all be around that price, tempting….
January 24, 2017 at 23:31 #1283680Yes, I think so, nothing to mad on but a few quid here and there, see how it unfolds
Douvan was 3/1 after last years Arkle
6/1 now goes 3/1 when he wins the Arkle and when Douvan wins the Champion Chase and gets declared as the 2018 Gold Cup horse Altior goes evensBlackbeard to conquer the World
January 24, 2017 at 23:41 #1283681Sounds about right to me mate, like you said not one to go crazy on but may try get around £50 on before March then chip away with a tenner a month after the festival
January 27, 2017 at 11:54 #1283980A set back has ruled Min out of Leopardstown this weekend
January 29, 2017 at 14:40 #1284524Well that was an informative Irish Arkle…not.
January 29, 2017 at 14:59 #1284527Min and Altior must be shaking in their boots
January 30, 2017 at 15:50 #1284793Anything else came out about min? Nothing to worry about from potential challengers from the weekend but he seems to be drifting and drifting and altior is not shortening up?
January 30, 2017 at 15:55 #1284796Sea of blue for Altior
Yorkhill goes Champion Hurdle, Min goes JLT?
