Raceform update

Hi all not been posting for a while but thought you could help is there a weekly newspaper that has the form and trainers results for the same race cards fromthe years previous,like what they had in the update,have tried the weekender but can’t get used to it and don’t like it,I know theres not much out there but i got so used to the update even the paper feels different,i find it hard to get to grips with the others thought you might know one that i don’t.

The Weekender racecards have adopted the Raceform style and the trainer data is under each race for the last 10 years. Apart from Timeform there is nothing similar left in paper form.

I used to get the Raceform Update and Weekender every week back in the 80s and early 90s but hadn’t bought either for about 15 years until a few weeks ago when i bought the first edition of the merged paper !

Strange experience looking at things that were already out of date…………..

Published form books have surely had their day ?

But mainly…………I couldn’t read it, the print was too small…………..

As most of their patrons are probably old codgers like me, you’d think they’d use bigger type…………

Don’t know what exactly you are after HF, but would the Timeform Perspective be the type of thing you’re after?

Form book in race by race format, coming 3 times a week in A4 sized sheets to fit in to a folder.

Although it would be a lot more expensive than what you’re used to.
