Looks a decent race this, and I could easily have bet Aucunrisque, but I’ve taken a chance on Funambule Sivola

My main concerns would be that I could easily see Kempton as the target as well, and they he could swerve this.

Not too long back he was second in Champion Chase, and they were happy to run him in it last season (early faller). Travelled well for a long way last time, and the yard going well.

Bit of a token gesture bet at the moment, as Kempton could be the real plan, and even if he goes here, given the potential line up, I might be able to beat the 7’s. Small early bet anyway

    Funambule Sivola 7’s

Aucunrisque at 7-1, just in favour of Madara

Agree with Bobby. Funambule Sivola is a horse I’ve followed for some time
and if he’s fit he has a lot going for him. It’s only last December he was
running off 163, won the Game Spirit off 155 in February before falling early
in the Champion Chase at the Festival off 157. Weakened on his two runs last
month and hopefully he needed them as he gets in here on his lowest mark 150.
He’s 8 so I can’t see why he would be regressing and surely has a big chance here.

Madara for me. Only a 4 year old and surely should improve from the last run here. A bit better in the weights now as well.

    Madara 10/1

I’m with you dbr and I’ve also taken 10-1. I’ve always been a big Funambule Sivola fan, but he seems to have gone off the boil a little

Thanks all. Another good run in january/february and he could be a very interesting horse for the Grand Annual.
