    Hi,

After having to abandon plans to go to DRF due to the dreaded Covid, a group of friends and I are re-routing to Punchestown for the festival at the end of April.

Has anyone on here been to this recently and if so any do’s and don’ts in terms of where to go / stay?

Principally, is it easy enough getting taxis around to the course and back to Dublin?

    Any thoughts or help welcome

    Thanks

I have not been for years. I got a bus from the Busarus (the main bus station) in Dublin. I assume that service will still be running. It was a special race day service which went straight to the course.

All the hotels where I have stayed in Dublin have been fine. However, it is an expensive place nowadays.

I would stay local; Kildare or Naas, rather than travel from Dublin every day

Traffic can be an issue, and there are are plenty of nice places to stay outside Dublin.
I used to go every year, but not for a while, as age is withering me.
