Going back the grade 1, next year’s Arkle winner may have been 2nd as he will improve for a fence, looks big for hurdling.
April 30, 2024 at 16:26 #1692342Yes I agree Mike
Firefox looks a big gangly baby, made for fences
Mystical power looks tiny I’d imagine he will stay over hurdles
April 30, 2024 at 16:27 #1692343Daddy long legs a completely different horse on drier ground
He’d have probably won the grade 1

Happy with my 6th e/wApril 30, 2024 at 16:58 #1692348Gentleman de Mee for the win next..and Saint Sam ew
April 30, 2024 at 17:39 #1692350The Champion Chase was quite a thrilling race, but somehow not as good as the Energumene and Un De Sceaux renewals.
April 30, 2024 at 17:40 #1692351I’m staying loyal to Monty in the next although I really do like Embassy Gardens (hope he’s over the fibrillating heart) and Spillane’s Tower too and the rest are all decent. Good race. If American Mike got out of the right side of bed he could run a big race too.
April 30, 2024 at 18:09 #1692352Good horse that. Reckon Embassy’s heart or wind causing bother again. Three Card Brag for the NH chase next year?
April 30, 2024 at 18:25 #1692354The winner is very useful and another smart chaser bought by JP. When was the last time I said such a thing?
April 30, 2024 at 18:49 #1692357Slightly more reserved tomorrow, and betting in just the three races. I’ll continue topping up Appreciate It as he goes bigger

Added Seddon 14s win only (with a 25% boost to that price)
Best of luck to all
May 1, 2024 at 10:59 #1692390I’ve been tempted into an each way bet in the 6pm handicap chase on British raider Jetoile. He’s been given a 2lb lower mark in Ireland of 145 and has a 5lb claimer on board too. His best form is on decent ground and 16/1 represents good value with bet365 who are also boosting winnings by 25% in this race.
May 1, 2024 at 11:55 #1692398Not too many bets today for me.
Got to back the big awkward Blizzard in the 3.05 although he is short, I’ve followed him this far! I’ll probably put a tojen bet on Dancing City too .
My main interest is William Munny in the 4.50 bumper, 5-1 is a decent price and I’ve taken a bit of the 20s for the Supreme 2025 too.
Redemption Day has a decent chance on this ground, but it’ll be a travesty if this 7 year old wins a grade 1 “jumps” race in his 4th calendar year running in “jumps” races with no jumps. If he wins, he earns the same prize money – €60k- as the 2nd horse home in the following race which is the feature race of the festival, the Gold Cup. I’ll stop now cos I’m just annoying myself but…walofs.May 1, 2024 at 12:35 #1692403Ended up having a pretty decent day yesterday with :
Mystical Power – 9/2 AP
Sermandzarak – 10/1
Three Card Brag – W’O Favs 11/1Main Fancies today are:
Redemption Day
Fastorslow
Let’s Go Champ
Fleur Au Fusil (Nap)May 1, 2024 at 13:37 #1692405Backing Fastorslow looks a risky proposition. The trainer hasn’t had a jumps winner since January. Will the horse show the same kind of form as 12 months ago?
