October 15, 2001 at 18:22 #45928IT MUST HAVE BEEN A LAPS OF CONCENTRATION, OR ONE TO MANY BEERS SUNDAY.HA,HA,
IILL TRY AND GET IT RIGHT FOR TUESDAY.
IT WAS A GOOD DAY AT LEICESTER ON MONDAY THE BEST WEVE HAD FOR A WHILE. THE FAIRY FLAG WAS A GOOD WINNER @13/2 AND THE OTHER TWO WHERE A SHADE UNLUCKY. WELL IN PROFIT FOR THE START OF THE WEEK,IVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT USING BOTH THE SUN AND THE RACING POST SIDE BY SIDE IS LOOKING PROMISING.
CATCH YOU LATER
DAZ.
October 17, 2001 at 18:41 #45929Hi Daz….. I had the meeting down as Wetherby but you ended up at Lingfield, was there a reason for this diversion mate….. it didn’t matter cos we both ended up with a winner, I had the sole bet today as Ballygarvan at Wetherby (Won 9/4), I just wanted to know if there was something I’ve missed………

October 17, 2001 at 21:34 #45930MR.E
THIER WAS NO REASON FOR PICKING LINGFIELD INSTEAD OF WETHERBY, I THOUGHT LINGFIELD LOOKED THE BETTER CARD. NICE WINNER AT 7/2 THOU. IT SEEMS TO BE PAYING OFF USING THE RACING POST INTEAD OF THE SUN, 12 POINTS + IN THE COMP IS NOT BAD OVER 3 DAYS. LETS HOPE THE URB CAN PULL HIMSELF TOGETHER AND MAKE IT A PROPER COMP.
DAZ.
October 17, 2001 at 22:08 #45931Darrell,
Congrats on a very promising looking system. One query, though. How are you determining the principle meeting of the day. I think it should have been Wetherby today.
October 18, 2001 at 18:30 #45932HI ENGLISH BULLDOG.
WELCOME TO THE FORUM AND COMP,
THE WAY I PICK THE PRINCIPLE MEETING IS BY THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF PRIZE MONEY ON OFFER AT EACH MEETING, THE ONE WITH THE HIGHEST IS THE ONE I USE. THE REASON I USED LINGFIELD INSTEAD OF WETHERBY IS BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT LOOKED MORE OF A PROFITABLE MEETING FOR THE COMPETITION SELECTIONS. BUT AS A RULE IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING THE SYSTEM STICK TO USING THE PRINCIPLE MEETING.
THERES A LOT AT STAKE IN THE COMPETITION AND IM CONFIDENT MY SYSTEM WILL WIN IT FOR ME.
I HOPE THATS CLEARED UP A FEW POINTS? GOOD LUCK WITH THE COMP AND I HOPE YOU DO WELL WITH WHAT EVER SYSTEM YOUR USING.
DAZ
October 21, 2001 at 19:04 #45933WHEN I STARTED THIS PUTTING UP THE SELECTIONS FOR THE MAJESTIC SYSTEM, I STATED USING THE SUN NEWS PAPER.
OVER THE PAST MONTH IVE BEEN KEEPING A CLOSE LOOK AT RESULTS, USING THE SUN AND THE RACING POST AND I CAN SAY THAT THE RESULTS FROM USING THE RACING POST ARE OUTSTANDINGLY BETTER THAN THE SUN. SO FROM NOW ON THE SYSTEM WILL BE CHANGED TO USE THE RACING POST INSTEAD OF THE SUN. AT THE MOMENT IM USING THE RACING POST TO MAKE MY SELECTIONS FOR THE COMPETITION. AND ITS PROVING VERY GOOD. EVEN THOU THE SYSTEM STATES USING THE PRINCIPLE MEETING IM GOING TO POST SELECTIONS FROM ALL MEETINGS TO SEE HOW MUCH PROFIT CAN BE MADE,BACAUSE IVE NOTICED THERES BEEN SOME GOOD PRICED BETS GOING A STRAY.
AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS ALL ABOUT PROFIT AND TURN OVER.SO THE SELECTIONS FOR MONDAY 22ND OCTOBER, USING THE POST ARE AS FOLLOWS.
PONTEFRACT 3.15 BANDARI= WIN BET.
SOUTHWELL 3.55 TANTRIC = WIN BET.
NO SELECTIONS AT PLUMPTON.
CATCH YOU LATER
DAZ.
October 22, 2001 at 10:19 #45934Hi again Daz…. that Principal Meeting thingy was probably my fault mate, if you check earlier posts (Sept 7) I said that I thought that there were too many selections and suggested the main meeting only should be used….. Its my fault if you’ve missed winners cos your original set of rules never mentioned sticking to only one meeting……. keep belting ’em in Daz….

October 22, 2001 at 10:45 #45935Darrell,
Why is Phar Less Hassle not a selection in the 2.05 at Plumpton.
Are you now only including previous winners at the distance as I seem to remember a few of the earlier selections were in maidens (Hiddendale 3/1) and obviously could not have been previous distance winners.
Not criticising, as this seems to be a very good system but just trying to get the rules clear in my own mind.
cheers
matt
October 22, 2001 at 12:06 #45936Hi Matt…. Phar Less Hassle is NOT the selection mate. The selection quoted @ 2/1 is Hugo De Perro and he was only 4th LTO…….

October 22, 2001 at 15:32 #45937Darrell / Mr E,
Sorry about that for some reason I had 9/4 and above in my head.

October 24, 2001 at 16:33 #45940Hi Darrel
I think your system is a real bookiebasher -we lot dont have a chance in the competition!
Hope you dont mind me butting-in but Im also a bit confused as to why Phar Less Hassle wasnt one of your system selections on Monday like Hudsonmat pointed out the betting forecast in RP said:
2.05 Plump Claiming Hurdle
7/4F Bhutan – LTO 4th
2/1 Hugo De Perro – LTO 4th
9/2 Phar Less Hassle – LTO 2nd
Also spotted other system selections Monday in non-handicap races using the RP:
4.55 South The Scaffolder 11/2 LTO 3rd
5.15 Pont Lieuday 11/4 LTO 2nd
4.05 Plum Hurricane Pete 25/1 LTO 3rd
and today…
2.00 Chep Northern Tenesse 10/1 LTO 1st
3.35 Chep Table For Five 4/1 LTO 1st
Is there a particular reason why they didnt fit the system?
Sorry to be so daft, just trying to get the system rules straight in my head too
October 24, 2001 at 22:35 #45941HI PIXO.
IN REPLY TO YOUR QUESTION WHY PHAR LESS HASSEL WAS NOT A SELECTION.THE REASON BEING AS FOLLOWS.
THE SYSTEM SELECTS ONLY HORSES THAT FINISHED 1ST 2ND AND 3RD ON THIER LAST START ONLY, CURRENT SEASON.
ALSO THE SELECTION MUST BE QUOTED AT 2/1 OR MORE IN THE BETTING FORCAST.
WHEN I SAY 2/1 I MEAN THE HORSE AS TO BE EITHER THAT PRICE 2/1 OR OVER.SEE EXAMPLE BALOW.
RAINBOW HIGH 6/4 RIGHT WIN 7/4 PERSIAN PUNCH 2/1 DOUBLE TRIGGER 7/2.
PERSIAN PUNCH WOULD BE THE SELECTION PROVIDING IT WAS PLACED IN 1ST 2ND OR 3RD LAST TIME OUT, IF NOT THEN IT IS NOT A SELECTION. DOUBLE TRIGGER WILL NOT BE SELECTED BECAUSE PERSIAN PUNCH DIDNT QUALIFIE, SO THE SELECTION PROCESS STOPS AND NO OTHER SELECTION MADE IN THAT RACE. EVEN THOU DOUBLE TRIGGER WAS QUOTED AT 7/2 THIS IS WHERE YOU GETTING CONFUSED.
BETS FOR THURSDAY ARE AS FOLLOWS,
BATH 2.00 WOODY BATHWICK
BRIGHTON 3.20 RAHWAAN
4.20 LA PASSIONE
LUDLOW 2.10 THE NAMES BOND
2.40 STARTING AGAIN.
October 24, 2001 at 23:18 #45942Hi Darrell
