More time at the moment.
The basic idea……. study the cards to find horses that competed in races worth more than todays(at least £1500)check class of previous race -must be same or lower class, finally check that the horse finished within a reasonable distance to the winner.
Todays basic selections
2.20 Folk-E Hcp-£3484
Double M-D Hcp-£5616-3rd of 18-btn0.75,nk
Hard To Catch-D Hcp-£5421-1st of 10-won
Law Maker-D Mdn-£5574-4th of 14-btn2.75,hd
———————————————————————–
3.50 Folk-E-£3494
Spring Jim-B-£21795-7th of 21-btn 5l
———————————————————————–
4.50 Folk-E Mdn-£3601
Appetina-D Mdn-£5499-5th of 12-btn 6l,hd
Whitsbury Cross-D Mdn-5th of 17-btn 6l,nk
————————————————————————
To save time the following also qualify using the same criteria
7.00 Windsor
Johannian
Pango
_____________________________________________
7.30 Windsor
Glimmer of Light
Todlea
————————————————————————
8.00 Windsor
Seven No Trumps
————————————————————————
8.15 Ponte
Chorist
————————————————————————
8.45 Ponte
Online Investor
————————————————————————9.15 Ponte
Bollin Edward
————————————————————————
A basic idea which may be open to more filters.Food for thought?
Good Luck
June 7, 2004 at 14:30 #53874Cracking result in the first!!! I see the time of your post was after the race though – was it that result which gave you the idea or was it something you were working on anyway?
Either way, will watch the other races with much interest.
Be Lucky!

June 7, 2004 at 14:57 #53876Have been noting this for a while now,it has thrown up some good winners just put it up as food for thought,I’ve no financial interest at the moment. The fact that it was posted at 3.17 it first chance to get to my computer today.
There may be filters which could improve it.
Its a case of wait and see
June 8, 2004 at 11:02 #53878One point win on each selection yesterday gave 14 points staked with 13.57 returned.
Further filters may well improve the results.Todays selections are horses that have been beaten less than 3 lengths or less
Todays selections must be…
1.Previous race worth £1500 more than todays
2.Class of todays race must be the same as or lower than last race.
3.Horse to have finished 3 lengths or less from the winner.
The following qualify…also checked other variables-draw postdata gives all relevant info.
3.30 Redcar-Summer Shades
6.50 Chester-Master Robbie/True Night(both well drawn for Chester)Flying Express(left out because of wide draw)
8.50 Chester-Obe One(beware not well drawn I’d give it a miss)
5.15 Salisbury-Aonich
————————————————————————
In the 4.00 Redcar-Beautiful Mover looks strong but todays race doesn’t quite reach the £1500 criteria
2.15 Salisbury-Caly Dancer distance should suit but again doesn’t meet the £1500 criteria.
Maybe the type of race could effect the results?
Good Luck
June 8, 2004 at 17:28 #53879Hello Kers, I was thinking about you last night when I was watching the racing. I thought you might have had ‘Ile Facile’ as a selection. Reading through your rules I see why not now.
Best of luck with this, will be watching with interest,
Dave.

June 10, 2004 at 14:27 #53884Hi Kersly, would horses last speed be same as, or very close to horses top speed be any use as a filter.
Barry
June 10, 2004 at 18:26 #53885Hi Barry,
Thanks for that. Topspeed had Considine latest 54 and best 54 indicating a horse at his peak or near his peak,Siegfrieds Night had figures of 58-60.Only Ilwadod
could match that 63-65.
It could well be of some significance.I’ll check. Thanks again

June 21, 2004 at 13:36 #53889I’ve taken a bit of time out to further analyse these selections and have added filters to reduce the selections to hopefully the ones who have the best credentials.

June 22, 2004 at 13:47 #53891Poor results yesterday.Further analysis has reduced todays selections.Still using the basic idea
4.45 Bev-Ballybunion(9 ticks Postdata-Previous race £7083-today£3690.Comments""finished well"
9.15 N.Abbot-Dinarelli/Lightning Star.
Dinarelli-previous 3rd of 9 inD Hcp Hdl £9239 today E Hcp £3504.Comments"headway kept on from last"
Lightning Star won 9 runner E Hcp Hdl worth £6825 today £3504 E Hcp Hdl.Comment-prominent,led two out driven out"
