This used to be a top race for unraced 2yo’s in the 60’s and 70’s with winners including Hula Dancer, Riverman, Dahlia, and Nonoalco.

Although it has lost it’s way somewhat with the changes I am hoping Apollo Fountain might put it back on the map. She very much looks the part, and had a troubled passage on debut. The winner was a much smaller type, but bred to be useful. I think Bet 365’s 8/1 is too big. She is the sole home defence. It’s a bit of a shame there isn’t another runner.

Whoosh.

You can’t get things much more right than that. Doesn’t always work that horses run to their looks, but she did. She could be very good. Minor disappointment that I didn’t get the 17/2 which Bet 365 allowed it to drift to.
