Maybe worth a place only bet but he’s not won a group race since 2018

And not won a group 1 since he won todays race in 2017

I’ve heard worse suggestions than Brando doing a Bahamian Pirate or Continent at a monster price if its slop.

Couldn’t argue with your suggestion HDLG. He seems in better form this season than last season in my eyes, and is a helluva price.

    Art power likes soft
Campanelle and dragon symbol pulled well clear on heavy going
Creative force probably needs soft ground at 6f

Most of the better sprinters bar starman go with cut in the ground

    Devils advocate –

Campanelle got outbattled at Ascot, and was gifted the race due to who her jockey was. And was stuffed by Brando today. She might need her USA ‘medication’.

Dragon Symbol hangs and I feel he will be a better 4yo.

Art Power is consistently over-rated and under-raced in G1 markets.

Creative Force would be my idea of the favourite at Haydock over 6f on Soft or Heavy. But he isn’t 40’s….

A frankly idiotic comment ttc haha

Shes a European bred horse that has won more times in Europe than America

And she very clearly didn’t run her race today

My point was that brando is 40s for a reason, he doesnt win and is usually ridden to pick up prize money running past beaten horses

Could well place but id be incredibly dissapointed if he won a group 1 these days

I feel backing him e/w you are essentially throwing away your money on the win part of the bet. It will likely be a competitive field and he will be a good place only price on the day. :good:

    On the subject of medication.
Did State of play have lassix?
It seems to work well first time for European horses such as in breeder’s cup and last month for Bolshoi ballet then they are back on level terms next time…
