Look out your window Daz…. look east, is the sun shining?
The best miler in Europe is out to finally do something a best horse in a division should do, win a bloody race
The best trainer in Europe Richard Hannon junior has never won this race.. He struggles a little to keep his horses fit enough to run in this race. Having beefed up Rosallion to the hilt I’d hate to think it rains on Sunday. The memo has been sent to Richard to give Sean Levey a couple slaps or a small glass of water chucked in his face to wake himself up before the race. What else could go wrong
all aboard the Rosallion express

I’ll take the Japanians to take home the prize with ASCOLI PICENO, a group 1 winner in her own sex. Straight track and drying ground hoping to suit. Better from the Lion last time but I’m not convinced, especially at the price.
Plenty in here with gaping holes. Lemaire to produce the mare and not have a ‘mare.

Dancing Gemini with the French Tote. Hope to get some 12/1 to 14/1.

Coolmore wouldn’t have sold him if they thought he was likely to win this but I have a soft spot for Diego Velazquez and he’s my ew bet.

Diego for the upset – didn’t see that coming and not a bad purchase for the National Stud, also nice to see the Sangster colours win a big G1 too.

Sky Sports Racing presenters are wetting themselves over what a turn of foot NS produce late on and that he is back to his best and should be favourite for BC Mile.

He was unlucky but his run style is always going to leave him hostage to fortune when you sit out the back and that will be even more prevalent in the US – not sure he was quickening as fast as they think (just slowing down slower than the others that were on the front end from the start).

The Lion In Winter needs to be retired – he was hanging badly from some way out and they must be coming to the end of the book of excuses for another poor performance, doesn’t appeared to have trained on from the promise of his 2yr old season.

How much did Diego cost? I think this was an extremely shrewd purchase, if the price tag was right. The horse could develop into a high-class globe-trotting type, similar to the ones Godolphin like to send over to the US or the Emirates. But the Sangster family is first of all a breeding operation, so we might not see a lot more from him apart from what this season’s targets are.

He goes to stud at the end of the year so I would imagine the Moulin and QE2 are obvious targets, not sure about BC Mile as a tight turning course I don’t think would suit him very well.
