Some turbo on that one
June 4, 2023 at 15:13 #1650504Looks like Rouget has another good one
Big Rock had everything else cooked, was counting my money half way down the straight then you could see Ace Impact was flying and would pick him up

Spot on, FF – isn’t worth a packet of crisps.
I’d say the winner there is pretty good.

just had a tenner on, worth a punt
June 4, 2023 at 15:17 #1650508Super impressive that like.
June 4, 2023 at 15:19 #1650509I saw his last race, put the race to bed well enough but couldn’t envisage this improvement. 3 year olds, who’d have ’em.
535 – Coeur De Pierre 8/1. Ignore oddschecker, they haven’t got him on the list for some reason. Decent race with British representatives.
June 4, 2023 at 15:32 #1650517Ace Impact 4.67 seconds faster than standard!
Il a cassé la putain d’horloge!

June 4, 2023 at 15:50 #1650524Those who know more about French racing (because they’re expatriate Brits who actually live there) than I do tell me….
1. Never trust a French going description – they’ve even more unreliable than UK ones
2. Don’t even trust their race distances to be correct
But whichever way you look at it, that’s a decent time and that’s a decent horse.
Big Rock has seen off the rest, the French Guineas winner has run a solid race in third, the supplemented hype horse is fourth, what’s not to like?
Every bit as good as The Derby yesterday in my book.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 4, 2023 at 16:53 #1650535Not doubting the performance itself – race record time apparently, probably the fact that it was such an atypically run French race (1st to 10th was covered by 18L – when usually a small throw blanket would cover the first half dozen home).
One might question whether 12F will suit too as most of the family were best at 10F, some did try 12F but with liitle impact although one did win at 11F – might find in an Arc there will be stronger stayers at the trip especially on much deeper ground than today’s quick conditions.
Could be a real threat in the 10F races – although that division is looking like it could be very deep.
June 4, 2023 at 17:13 #1650537Id agree there ian, the right horses finished in the right places to give that a very nice look
June 4, 2023 at 17:37 #1650540According to Pascal Bary, Feed The Flame ran on very soft ground on debut with Racing Post describing it as good to soft. He won nicely on ground described as very soft the race before today so maybe we will see better from him with plenty of cut.
I must admit, I was pulled in a bit more with the debut ground description, so it didn’t help. - AuthorPosts
