Neither Murphy or Hayes distinguished themselves greatly. Murphy should have gradually forced the pace in the race instead of sitting pretty with the sluggish pace of leader and Hayes should have hung on to the coat-tails of the peloton after the poor draw at start instead of that sharp manoeuvre into the rail. Piccone timed the run perfectly. Candala the one for the notebook.
