Find it very, very, very hard to go past Jean-Claude.
June 9, 2009 at 17:23 #232954Hard to look past Stacelita given how impressive she was in the Saint-Alary. Tamazirte has a similar profile to Derby winner Le Havre so you’d have to say he has two of the top five in the market – rare for the Rouget band wagon to roll on this late in the year, normally stutters to a stop in May.
Don’t think she’ll be too big a price (7s or so) but if the ground gets any quicker (inconvenience Stacelita) then I quite fancy the Lerner horse Celimene who has a very easy group race win to her name in the Prix Penelope in April and was put away there after in preparation for this
June 12, 2009 at 02:54 #233459Well I think an antepost shot for a repeat performance of a filly winning Arc isn’t a bad shout.
Willy Hills have Stacelita at 20/1, so I thought an each way pop was a decent punt.
June 12, 2009 at 13:46 #233509Good to see UK punters piling into Fantasia, and Stacelita getting pushed out, and Sunday in Chantilly its forecast heavy rain so softer ground should see Stacelita an easy winner.

The way I read your post I thought Hills had laid you 20/1 for Sunday!
June 12, 2009 at 15:40 #233524Would have been nice, but I will be piling into Stacelita on Sunday if it comes up soft, she could destroy them if the going turns up that way.
Industry prices is what I will be taking cause I don’t think the PM will be paying what our prices will be like.
June 12, 2009 at 16:29 #233532Does anybody have a website where I can watch the Prix Saint-Alary (and other French racing)
June 12, 2009 at 16:32 #233534http://www.equidiavideo.fr/homepage.aspx is the place you want David but it costs to view races, similar to the RP.
June 12, 2009 at 16:34 #233535Thanks – I thought there was a free one – there used to be a huge library on youtube and I thought the owner set up his own website.

Great stuff David…………just watched Overdose again. What a shame he can’t make Ascot this year. Surely one of the greatest flat horses of all time.
June 12, 2009 at 17:42 #233542Great site David – just watched Rubi Ball in the Ferdinand Dufaure again
June 12, 2009 at 17:54 #233543Cheers Fist
I wanted to have a look at Ana Americana (50/1 on Sunday) in the Prix Saint-Alary because she came from last to 3rd in that race, and considering that the winner (Stalecita) made all she could have been at a disadvantage due to pace bias (or something like that!)
Anyway I think the only thing to disadvantage Ana Americana is that she was born in the same year as Stalecita who looks a monster and I can’t see her being beaten on Sunday.
June 12, 2009 at 17:55 #233544Hey David, is it your email there slating on ATR right now.
June 12, 2009 at 17:56 #233545No – I’ve never e-mailed ATR
