I agree with what I’ve read on here about Barney Roy and I think he’s
over priced at 6/1 with Ladbrokes. Japan is a class act, but again
I agree that he may not have the race run to suit. I think Barney Roy’s change of
pace with be decisive and he gets my vote.June 16, 2020 at 15:50 #1490928Umbrellas are up at ascot
Had a few quid on addeybb (8.0) and mehdaayih (18.0) on the exchange
June 16, 2020 at 21:32 #1490988Lord North is my big fancy on Wednesday, and I’ve taken 8-1. I think that he could surprise here.
June 17, 2020 at 13:38 #1491068Headman looks a great bet here at 9/1. Half the river Thames is expected to fall on the track at around 3pm which will favour him if it does arrive in time though good ground is absolutely fine I believe if the rain doesn’t come. This horse has been seriously under rated here and can win, I think he has group 1 winner written all over him.
Was only going to have the one serious bet today but with this one it’s now two.
June 17, 2020 at 13:42 #1491069I’m hoping the rain can stay away until after this race for Barney Roy’s sake..

June 17, 2020 at 15:09 #1491089Absolute procession that was
Can imagine there will be plenty of money for elarqam now
Not sure how strong the race was with addeybb not getting his ground and japan/headman/barney Roy running no race at all
I was surprised frankie didnt try to make the running on mehdaayih
June 17, 2020 at 15:14 #1491091A Group 1 at Royal Ascot where the winner won the Cambridgeshire and the runner up won the Lincoln.
I am guessing that has never happened before.
June 17, 2020 at 15:35 #1491094Not a good race atall. I dont expect that form to stand throughout the season, why did frankie abandon lord north? Purely because he didnt think hed win or something else?
Japan got very warm, missed the break and looked badly done for toe, he should have just made the running on him when he had to chase him into 3rd, but he knows better im sure there was a reason
Everything else sort of ran a level race, doubt the winner ran above 115, everything else around 108-110 In my books
Roger charlton cant get them ready for a G1. Time after time.
June 17, 2020 at 17:09 #1491116Don’t think that’s fair on the winner Ham , he won as he wanted after sitting of the pace , I took the 10s last night as I believed he was still improving and I was always going to take Japan on
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
June 17, 2020 at 17:24 #1491123The old Sheik Maktoum Al Maktoum had some legends of the sport in the past and great to see his son race them again and get a big race win.
June 17, 2020 at 20:10 #1491139Well done backers, it went to the horse with solid form going into it. I personally think that will go down as a poor Group1 over time though, Barney Roy and Addeybb have been travelling and Japan and Headman were first time out. I don’t think Lord North will win a group 1 again, it was a disappointing renewal for me but that could happen at the moment
June 17, 2020 at 21:05 #1491146Harsh on this occasion i’d say Ham…he ran a mentally keen race, similar to last year first time out.
Horse obviously needs a run to get the freshness out of him!
