That all amazing tipster Tom Segal, can’t pick a loser for Pricewise punters, they all want to see what he fancies on a great card at Cheltenham and….. he chickens out and instead concentrates on some so-so races at Leopardstown
Well done Racing Post, that’s what we want…January 28, 2012 at 11:16 #388656A 5/1 winner at Leopardstown pays, shockingly enough, the same as a 5/1 winner at Cheltenham.
January 28, 2012 at 11:25 #388660One thing you couldn’t accuse Tom Segal of is ‘chickening out’ Phil.
January 28, 2012 at 12:05 #388664Just because it is Cheltenham and "Trials" Day it doesn’t mean that it is a particularly inspiring card. Interesting perhaps, but betting propositions that conform to his methodology are thin on the ground.

Well done Racing Post, that’s what we want…I agree, it’s ridiculous.
It’s almost as if he’s hunting around for runners at value prices or something rather than concentrating on the telly races. Bonkers.

January 28, 2012 at 13:49 #388695and given the way the market seems to react to his selections maybe a 5/1 in Ireland would be a 4/1 at Cheltenham?
January 28, 2012 at 18:13 #388746Pricewise always gets a mention when he has a winner or 2. I prefer to take more heed of what Gerald Delamere has to offer. I love picking the horses out then checking if hes tipped any of them up. They almost certainly represent better value as more times than not their not smashed off the boards. Im sure he was an original sporting life man if im not mistaken. Never the less Delameres the Daddy!!
January 28, 2012 at 19:18 #388763Given that his tips were in highly competitive handicaps (worth €100,000 and €75,000 respectively) with 30 and 22 runners, of which only a small number of horses were without chance, it is hardly fair to accuse him of chickening out.
January 29, 2012 at 23:29 #388989What winner did he tip on Saturday ? Saw the Post today claiming yet another winner but i only noticed he’d stupidly gone for Aiteenthirtythree at Doncaster.

Citizenship at 10/1 at Leopardstown on Saturday.
