Me and my daughter have gave up trying to get a point to pointer!!!

We are thinking pony racing would suit as both, gives us a hobby together and shes keen to ride in pony races.

Still looking for a good contact for a pony or any sales(think there is one at the Acsot sales but thats not till November 2008!!!!)

    Regards

Pony racing in East Anglia takes place at point to points most weekends through March and April with area and nationa finals.

Very professional now if you want to do well though and Simon Andrews kids are a class act.

Getting them fit is the hardest part and Noel Quinlan has also done very well but then has the Newmarket gallops to help him.

It seems specialist ponies – preferrably with some thoroughbred in them – do best and some Irish ponies have done really well.

Watch out for adverts in Horse and Hound and on Horse Quest and take them hunting first if possible to check if your daughter can hold it and gets on with it.

Further to my previous post G of the F – which pony club does she belong to and in which area does she plan to race. I’ve sponsored the pony racing at the Suffolk for a few years.

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

She goes to a local riding school, infact i taught her to ride myself,as i use to ride in flaps over 20 years ago,but after a bad fall i havent sat on a horse, plus im too old and fat!

Where can i find rules, and sellers of ponies?

    Thankyou :)
