Over the months it appears that qualifiers were opposed by horses with similar credentials as indicated by joint ratings.Qualifiers have now to be completely clear on ratings.There will be less selections but hopefully a better strike rate.

On the defection of Golden Chalice in the 4.15 at Newcastle Fantasy Believer(Won 4/1) became a definite bet.It was too late to post this on the board.Will not be included in results

4.05 Newm-Present Oriented(5)..f/c 5/2…..Lost<br>For the second day running a non runner provided the chance for Kaikovra (2.05 Here) to qualify on all accounts.It won at 1/1.It will not be entered in the records as it would be difficult to spot when a non runner comes through late in the day

Following a similar pattern to previous years.Last year I recorded the selections but took a rest from backing.I don’t intend to lose further points so will record only and take a break from investing probably till mid November when I intend to start again as I did last year.

An upturn in fortune -now just minus 3.5 points to 1 point level stakes. I intend punting again soon.
The criteria….<br>If a horse can’t be beaten on "latest" and "adjusted"PM and TS then it is a selection-it can be equalled but not beaten.There are times when a "latest" or "adjusted" rating is not available the horse will still qualify as long as the ratings that are published can’t be beaten.No x in Postdata.Nearly forgot must be quoted at 1/1+.
Todays qualifier-4.05 Wetherby-Mantilla
I thought it possible to take non runners into account but it is very difficult for an average punter to get all the latest non runners so just go with the morning RP cards and odds.
