Fatally injured in a fall in the 4.10 at Perth today. RIP.
June 10, 2012 at 19:48 #407620I had a bit of a soft spot for that animal. Sad to hear the news.
RIP
June 11, 2012 at 10:24 #407685Was Buck Mulligan OK? He took a similarly crashing fall at the same fence. Degas Art had a fall that looked even worse three out but he got up. Seemed to be a lot of very tired horses in the testing ground and maybe there hsould have been one or two more pulled up before three out.

June 11, 2012 at 11:55 #407693Can’t find anything on Buck Mulligan yet. Saw him fall, his jockey ran to him as he lay flat on the ground and seemed to be waving his arm as if he was beckoning to someone to come over. Hope he’s alright.

June 11, 2012 at 21:33 #407759Haven’t seen the race but was mention on another forum that the horse was tired and tailed off and should have been pulled up. If this is the case, when is this sort of thing going to stop?

Something has to be done. I said on another thread with a similar death that how can they punish so severely for a couple of taps over the limit, and not punish at all for driving an exhausted horse too far?
RIP Plunkett
