I went to Windsor on monday evening with my local landlord and a few others.

The landlord, James, wore a pink shirt. It wasn’t dark pink or even off white/rose type pink. It was "candy floss" pink!

Now, he got a lot of stick about his PINK shirt and was asked about his masculinity.

His reply was that his wife had bought it, and found that "pink suited him".

Lollys mate here, who I should point out is a bit of a fashion diva, has never worn a pink shirt.

The problem I have is that Mrs Lolly has just brought me the same shirt for my holiday.

Is pink okay on men, or not?

Is it pink shirt time again? I do remember having one around 1986 or so, but then I was 13 so I had an excuse.

I think the key question is: long-sleeved or short-sleeved? If its the former, providing you have a suitably ridiculous hair cut, you may just be able to carry it off. But a pink short-sleeved shirt would just be an abomination.

I’ve got several pink shirts; it’s what happens when you don’t sort your washing properly. I can’t afford to throw them away so I’ll have to hope it will eventually wash out!.

Go for it! I love to see a pink shirt on a man. For some reason it’s a very masculine thing to do; sort of shows he’s a real man that he can get away with wearing pink and not feel an utter prat in it ;)

I must admit to having several pink shirts, and no qualms about my sexuality. So there.

Pink and white gingham check – perfect with a blue suit!

Great colour for Summer, particularly if you have a tan.

    Call me a contrary b*****d
, but that’s exactly why I didn’t accept the suggestion of a Next shop assistant that I should buy a pink shirt to go with my new suit.

I’m a heterosexual male with plenty of gay friends and no issues about sexual expression. I just don’t want to be regarded as "very masculine" or "a real man".

The pink shirt has been appropriated by those who are trying just a bit too hard to make a statement.

    Still, each to their own.

I don’t wear shirts or suits myself but there’s a bloke at work who wears them and sports a tan all year round.

He’s one of those Unreal Tournament people, ‘Me sun-city? No, I don’t go to sun-city, I’m just brown. Every week I just get browner and browner and I don’t go to sun-city. I don’t understand it .. !’

If, in the unlikely event that I was forced to wear a shirt, it wouldn’t be a pink one.

You don’t wear shirts or a suit? Are you a lifeguard? An exotic dancer? Kemal?

Are you sure that your tanned colleague isn’t asian? Or Brazilian?

Bobby Law, a leader of the London Rail Union, looked hot and fit [to anyone over 25 that means pretty sexy], when interviewed the other day in a fetching grey jacket with shocking pink shirt [no tie].
Doubt anyone could describe him as anything less than butch and nice to see someone so confident without the need to question.

being ‘butch’ is not necessarily a great indication of male heterosexuality though LL!!!

Guys, pink is the must colour for summer 2005.
Long sleeve, short sleeve, polo or whatever, the gals love it and my dearly beloved reckons it takes years off me.
Now, if she’d just show the same enthusiasm for my pink trousers I’d be laughing.
