At the moment because of the hacking you can get all the quotes etc and race write ups on the RP website
So here i am looking at Jean De Florette in tomorrows hurdle race at Lingfield and its win first time out.
The Racing Post analysis states "Jean De Florette did not jump particularly well"
At the bottom of the said analysis the quote from Sam Twiston davies, rider of the said horse states "he travelled well and jumped well"
Who do you beleive.November 25, 2013 at 20:26 #459810The Timeform blurb on ATR that goes with his rating for the race tomorrow states that he made several mistakes in his last race.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

November 26, 2013 at 09:37 #459842I’d take the race reader’s comments over the trainers any day
The trainer has an interest in telling everyone that he’s taught the horse to jump well
Wouldn’t be much use to a trainer to come out and say that he can’t get the damn beasts to jump
And the trainer in this case might have meant that he jumped well for that horse, ‘cos he’s shocking at home

Indeed !

Having just watched the replay, he looks like a chaser who’s hurdling. Bit clumsy but never made a significant error or looked like falling.
Should win a few more low grade races but he’s not bred to be good.
Looked a poor race.November 26, 2013 at 14:22 #459859Sadly he broke down badly, didn’t look good at all for him

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
November 26, 2013 at 22:30 #459911Fatally injured.
My condolences to Twiston-Davies and connections. Awful.
