We need only focus on your winners which are priced at:-
    5/6 Evens 9/4 7/2 7/2 9/2 6/1 13/2 9/1 20/1 22/1
    A B C D E F G H I J K

We are going to presume that you covered all 43 selections in £1 8-horse accumulators, meaning your total stake is £145,008,513
With 11 winners you have 165 successful 8-horse accumulators.
The best way of working it out is to calculate the returns from the 11-horse accumulator and then reduce them to 165×8-horse accumulators by dividing by the trebles.
    The 11-horse accumulator pays:-
    (11x2x13x9x9x11x7x15x10x21x23)/(6x4x2x2x2x2) = £336,549,494.50
Therefore, your total return from your 165 eight-horse accumulators is:-
336,549,494.50/(each of the 165 trebles shown below)
    ABC 11.9 AFH 75.6 BEH 67.5 CEK 336.4 DHI 337.5

    e.g. Your best accumulator gives you 336,549,494.5/11.9 = 28,281,470
    Your worst gives you 336,549,494.5/4830 = 69,678.98
The total of all of your 165 accumulators is £519,718,098 meaning you make a profit of £374,709,585.
    Final tip. DON’T RISK IT

I could have been a millionaire. LOL

Thank you for all your work DC and Drone, very educational for me. Is there anyway of reducing costs but still have a chance of a massive payout?

Could I have 5 groups of 8, for instance take the trebles from each group and run that up as an accumulator through the 5 groups, just thinking outloud how to reduce stakes and still give a chance of a massive return.

The cheapest tilt at this enormous windmill is of course the 1p accumulator which will set you back precisely 1p, and if succesful would almost certainly guarantee you a hereditary dukedom as it would wipe out the national debt that’s giving Philip Hammond sleepless nights :good:

It might have been upped now but when I pored over bookmakers’ rule books the maximum payout on multiples was generally circa £500,000 and significantly less with the smaller independents

So should you decide to have a bash perming the 43 in some way or other, do bear this in mind as Sod’s Law does tend to be enacted in these circumstances

Maths-wise my grey matter aches, sorry, but thanks for initiating an intriguing thread

on the chessboard / grains of wheat, the other Albert Bartlett once asked “just how much wheat is that?”

his answer: approx 400 times the 1990 worldwide production of wheat:
