How come she has been held back for so long before making her first run? Quite suprised we havent seen her run yet seeing has AOB was saying how she loved racing so much and she also ran 10 times last season. Where is she due to run first by the way?
June 9, 2008 at 10:55 #167498She’s running at Cork on the 15th June.
Group 3 race.
June 9, 2008 at 12:23 #167514A Group 3 at Cork.
She would be such an unbackable favourite, she may actually end up being a price!
June 9, 2008 at 13:46 #167533She is probably pregnant by now.
June 9, 2008 at 14:23 #167543I doubt it, they were intending to race her again this year..
Personally I think they’ve kept her so that if none of their boys step up to the plate she can step and p!ss everyone else off by winning the all aged staying races… I wish she had run in an all sex race last year so we could have gotten a handle on how she matched up to the boys..
June 9, 2008 at 14:29 #167544You’d imagine her targets (if any) this year will be the Pretty Polly and the Yorkshire Oaks, just like last year.

can they run her in the Irish Champion or is that just for 3yo? (forgive my question as not tha clued in on the flat) if so that will be one hell of a race, as new approach is said to run
also does anyone know if she would run in the ark like Zarkava??
June 9, 2008 at 14:47 #167552The Irish Champion and the Arc will most likely be left to the colts Batman. Probably Duke of Marmalade and Soldier of Fortune at this early stage.
June 9, 2008 at 14:49 #167553Yes she can run in the Irish Champion as it is 3y-o+.
Her targets I feel will depend on what the Ballydoyle colts do this year. What I mean by this is, Ballydoyle would much rather have a colt win the major group 1’s than a filly as they have stud value.
Personally I think that if allowed, she could dominate the 1m4f division this year including against the colts. I’m sure Magnier will want SofF to do this though however, even if Peeping Pawn is superior.June 9, 2008 at 14:49 #167554Irish Champion is all age
June 9, 2008 at 15:19 #167565It’s unlikely she’ll be fully wound up for Sunday but will still probably go off fairly long odds-on. Worth keepin an eye on this race as she could be worth taking on, depending on the rest of the field etc obviously.

she was 2nd in the oaks last year so do you think she is one that needs a run 1st…….???
June 9, 2008 at 15:26 #167567She had three or four runs prior to that… Maybe even five but I can;t be bothered to look!
June 9, 2008 at 15:27 #167568Maybe connections have said that she is to be kept in training this year, but it’s actually their intention to retire her in the next day or two and claim that her Group 3 entry was an ‘honest mistake’.
Oh no, wait, wrong trainer…
June 9, 2008 at 15:42 #167571In my hard-earned experience, when a "proper Group 1" horse is entered in a Group 3 FTO next season, you can be fairly sure that they will "come on for the run". If there is any sort of competition on the day, it is unlikely that Johnny Murtagh or whoever else might be on Peeping Fawn will be forcing her over the line.

Agree. It took her a while to get going last year plus it looks like she’ll have a busy second half of the season in the big female races given the apparent shortage of good fillies at Ballydoyle at the moment.
Any news on Listen btw?
