Interesting at Salisbury today. Pasaka Boy won the first and later on his dam Shesha Bear ran and almost completed a family double when she came a close up second.
June 12, 2012 at 21:48 #407871Would have been interesting to see if they recognized each other and I am a little disappointed that RUK didn’t line up more of a feature on this as it’s quite a fascinating event that happened.
June 12, 2012 at 22:22 #407884How about that!
Did you make this spot yourself Kenh? If so then kudos…
As they’re both from the same yard, I would imagine that they already see a fair bit of eachother which is a nice thought. It would be interesting to see how they would behave if raced against one another next year. Has that happened in modern times?
June 12, 2012 at 22:29 #407886Wow! I wonder how many times that has happened!

Not quite sure!
I know that mares have run whilst in foal on a racecourse but could not imagine too many have run on the same race card as their children?
This is one for the anoraks alright.
June 12, 2012 at 22:35 #407889I would like to take credit for the spot but no it wasn’t mine, it was mentioned on RUK and they had a nice little interview with the owner.
June 13, 2012 at 00:14 #407903Reggie Perrin & Tecktal ran on the same card at Plumpton last year.
Tecktal won and her son fell when going ok.
June 13, 2012 at 01:15 #407910Oliver Carter was no stranger to running one horse in one race and its sire in another on the same card.
Early Edition (1996 b g Primitive Rising – Ottery News) and his son Gone Missing (1993 gr g Early Edition – Tom’s Little Bet) contested separate Point-to-Point races at Bishops Court (Carter’s own course) on March 4th 2006, Upcott Cross on April 15th 2006 and back at Bishops Court on March 18th 2007. On the last date, both won – one a hunt members race, one a restricted, both ridden by Nick Scholfied.
