Just checked it out; brilliant…may even try to get to Longchamp this year if he runs.

It’s the time, to say a word over Barbi Budinszki. She is the girl, "The girl who looks after him", she rides Overdose, she lives with the horse, she sleeps next to Overdose’s box in Alag.

Wonder if the BBC would be willing to swop that dark haired presenter woman for Claire Balding, perhaps even on a trial basis…

I checked out Claire Balding’s photo on the net because I don’t know her. What to say? You’re right.
The dark haired lady’s name is Zsuzsa Demcsák. She’s cute but there are another 10-15 girls like her on Hungarian television, some of them more beautiful
April 25, 2009 at 02:23 #223498Coral and Sportingbet came out with the odds for King Stand Stakes and Golden Jubilee.
Overdose is the main favorite @4.00 and @5.00.April 25, 2009 at 02:44 #223503I won’t hear anything bad said about Claire Balding – her hindquarters remind me of Miesque.
April 26, 2009 at 03:25 #223661Very much looking forward to watching Overdose at Haydock. He should be very difficult to beat at 5f at least, all being well.
Can anyone tell me what anti-doping programmes are in place in Hungary?

Like Eva Horvath I would guess! She was on German TV a few years ago, and my blood pressure still hasn’t recovered!! There was another one as well, she presented the Hungarian Song Contest last year, Eva Nosmonoski (or something like that).

April 26, 2009 at 22:57 #223770Just had a few bets on ‘The Budapest Bullet’
3pt win (Kings Stand) 3/1
3pt win (Jubilee) 7/22pt win on the double 10/1
Cant wait to go to Haydock and hopefully see him do his thing and those prices to drastically shorten.
April 26, 2009 at 23:21 #223782I honestly cant see beyond him for the Kings Stand.
Surely he cannot be beaten over the minimum distance??
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions on just how he can be beaten?
April 26, 2009 at 23:28 #223783Fleeting Spirit to not have a prep race, and to make her seasonal debut in the King’s Stand.
Don’t know whether it will work, but it is my main plan.
I’m still working on Plan B.

She was awesome in the Temple last time, albeit getting 5lbs all round. I feel the only way she didnt win the King Stand last year was because of Noseda’s yard being very poorly out of form at the time.
Still think Overdose will have too much class for her though.
FS clocked 57.15secs at Haydock on good to firm according to the RP. I’ll be interested to see how close Overdose goes to that given that he’s already run 54.60secs in Budapest this season!
I find it slightly ironic that when I requested prices for Overdose to win the King Stand when this thread was created last year (or was it another Darren made…) no bookie came back to me, They dont normally do that!
April 27, 2009 at 00:48 #223805I think Overdose will win by less than the 15 lengths that those two times suggest.
April 27, 2009 at 01:11 #223809Haha of course he will.
I’m always wary of taking other peoples times literally. However, according to all these times available to us Overdose has improved by 4 seconds over the minimum distance since his first recorded win in Budapest.
I just cant understand why he is 3/1. Is it purely because the bookies think he’ll go for the Golden Jubilee only, Gerald?
