I’m absolutely gutted about this. I was actually at Kincsem Park when he had his retirement ceremony and to see what he meant to Hungarian racing fans was unbelievable. His little brother won the race immediately afterwards on his debut which was a really touching moment.
I would say it was my favourite ever visit to any flat racecourse so to lose both him and Kauto Star (my favourite day at the races of all was the 2011 Lancashire Chase) in such a short space is a shock to say the least.
