    Football, Cricket are amongst sports which want a racing style levy, they say that they need the money from bookmakers to prevent fraud.

    As a result of the Gambling Act 2005, bookmakers are now legally bound to prevent gambling from becoming a source of crime, they don’t have to pay the FA or the ECB any money in order for those bodies to do so.
    Pure greed from the sports authorities IMO, they are just trying to benefit from the chaos currently reigning in the levy system by the looks of things.

    Money’s ruined football. Looking at some of the wages paid they have more than enough already.
