Alarm bells ringing about Kingman taking his chance in todays Irish 2000gns,all because of the ground,it was too firm at Newmarket, now its too soft in Ireland!! Ante-Post punters panicking!
May 24, 2014 at 14:27 #480052The action of a horse who loved the ground and wins like the class horse he is………Johnny Gosden loves to wind punters up with his complete utter disregard for us.Yet again he talks a lot of Bollox!
May 24, 2014 at 14:41 #480055Never heard so much rubbish come out of one mans mouth, that interview with Tracey Piggott after
Kingmans
victory beggars belief,"Had they ran a race over the course prior to the Classic I wouldn’t have ran him" Shut the **** up! How many times has a Classic been ran on ground horses have ran on prior to the big race?…….erm in percentage terms we’ll call it a 100%.Said it before but John should have shares in Andrex,it doesn’t just come out his A*se but his mouth too!
May 24, 2014 at 14:41 #480056So often trainers looking for a ready made excuse if their horse loses.
You couldn’t make it up. Probably will state he will only run him from now on if it’s genuine soft ground.
Thankfully for Mr Gosden he probably won’t be racing by the time Ascot build that dome.
May 24, 2014 at 15:41 #480060The excuses during the race itself were there waiting for big John should he have needed them but class should prevail and thankfully it did tb.The obvious one was he never got the cover he needed and was left out wide of the pack……So what John,so what!
God help those onTaghrooda
for the Oaks,I wouldn’t sleep at night if i was on at 33/1,he’ll take her out yet for some bizarre reason known only to him.
May 24, 2014 at 16:00 #480063We’ll have to get your photo with Mr Gosden, Gord……
The horse has now won on every ground going apart from the one Gosden wants him to run on plan old good ground.
Kingman won well but the pace wasn’t overly stamina sapping, I thought the O’Brien mob would of tested his stamina questions but they left Hughes in front to play jockeys and slow things down. With Night of Thunder and Toormore to contend with at Royal Ascot and the possible of firm going and Gosden yes, no, yes, no maybe I wouldn’t be rushing out to back Kingman.Blackbeard to conquer the World
May 24, 2014 at 16:10 #480065Sounds like someone has got a few too many bees in their bonnet.
I don’t suppose anyone would have criticised Gosden for running had the horse been beaten would they? Given the stamina doubts being raised his caution was entirely justified. As it is the horse ran and bolted up so hard to see any negatives from either a public or punter perspective.

What? Who was doing a Rain dance prior to the 2000 gns at Newmarket, who came out with his usual Cock and bull excuses for getting beat at Mewmarket? Conditions were ideal for
Kingman
today but big John got a touch of the butterflys and even an ideal surface he almost bottled out.Why on earth would anyone have criticised him running the horse today Stilvi?? Even you could see from the horses action that he thrived on the ground.Funnily enough Big bad John is all excited about the St James Palace stakes next…….Yeh until he reminds himself the ground could easily turn to the fast side of good and pull him out at the last minute again.5/4 is ‘Kingmans’ price for the race,4/5 says he wont turn up.
May 24, 2014 at 18:29 #480079Let’s count ourselves lucky Gosden isn’t a National Hunt trainer with an annual mob of Cheltenham-class novice hurdlers to rival that of Mullins

I didn’t see the interview with Gosden, but suspect Stilvi is right. Gosden
knew
Kingman was very likely to
act
on the ground Gord. However, heavy/very soft conditions place a far
greater emphasis on stamina
. After Kingman faltered in the English 2000 Guineas they entered him in the
July Cup
. There was a
fair sized doubt
about whether Kingman would
stay a mile in that ground
today. Hence John Gosden’s worries.
I also doubt that Mr Gosden is worried about Kingman acting on good-firm. The horse has proven he "
acts
", it’s just he’s concerned of Kingman’s getting
injured
on it (after his
2 year old
troubles). Of course there’s a chance Kingman will not turn up, what trainer should
not
be concerned for his horse’s
welfare
?
Value Is EverythingMay 25, 2014 at 01:13 #480114I do like John Gosden but sometimes his pessimism leaves me cold.

Is it overly pessimistic though GORV, or just telling it as he sees it? When I do a write up for a race there are positives and negatives about every runner, that’s how it is. To such an extent sometimes it’s hard to judge which horse/s I’ve backed. Unlike some trainer previews, John’s tell you the negatives as well as the positives but punters focus on the negative. I’d much rather listen to an honest John appraisal than what we hear from most other trainers; even if I don’t always agree with him.

Glad its not just me that can see through him Nath! The more I watch his post race interview yesterday the more I honestly think Johns head is so far up his own A*se he can actually see the Sh*t that comes out his mouth, worse still he believes it.That nonsense about pulling
Kingman
out of the race yesterday because he wanted to run him on fresh ground seriously undermines the whole idealogy
of racing horses.Class horses we are told can run on anything ‘Kingman’ proved he is a truly class horse and he can run on anything and yet ‘Honest John’ as Nath calls him lit the touch paper yet again contradicting that very point. Can yo imagine The Queen pullingEstimate
out of last years Ascot Gold Cup because 300 horses had galloped down the Ascot straight that week prior to her horse running? Beggars belief what comes out that guys mouth.I honestly believe when God created John ‘Godson’ he stuck his A*se on his head,No wonder that bloody hat he wears looks like a Toilet Seat!
Now forTaghrooda
! 2/1 fav for the Oaks,Poor Steve Caution sitting on fantastic prices about this filly emulating ‘Eswarah’ and ‘Salsabil,’ Sheikh Hamdens other 2 winners of this prestigous race.Had this filly been trained by John Dunlop I would be all over her for the race, she epitomises a filly bred for 11/2m,looks almost coltish, has an action that should suit any ground but a head carriage and an attitude that wont suit Epsom…..Cue John Gosden. All I can say to Steve is you did the study, you made your mind up and turn the volume down when John clears his bowel. From a betting point of view you would only go Evens about her getting there under his care, with John Dunlop you would be going 1/10 she gets there,he is a master of looking after fillies,as is his son Ed.Good luck Steve you will need it………I can hear the excuses now,"She wouldn’t settle, she got unbalanced, the camber through her, she’s very inexperienced" "I took her to Breakfast with the stars and to be honest I shouldn’t have eaten the Black Pudding and Hash Browns as I got indegestion and I didn’t need my filly to see me like that"….Oh yeh they’re coming!
‘Epitomises’ not ‘Epitomes’……Spellings S*it on a sunday!
