December 19, 2022 at 14:21 #1627425It’s Stage Star … not Star Stage. Just sayin’ 😁
December 19, 2022 at 14:27 #1627428Sorry Rob, must have lost the plot with all the typing

December 25, 2022 at 22:55 #1628087No room for the Gold Cup and Grand National winner 2023 Noble Yeats ?
December 25, 2022 at 22:58 #1628089There was a nomination process, Jack – you could have put him up during that.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 25, 2022 at 23:04 #1628091Plenty of room for a thousand candidates
But I run a strict policy of no nomination, no entry
The only other explanation would be I messed up and missed it on the nomination thread in which case I blame the nominator for not making it clear.
I have looked backed and Noble Yeats was not nominated as far as I can see. Certainly is one to watch though..

December 25, 2022 at 23:29 #1628098Come on, is this a bad joke or what? After winning the GN he clearly is a horse to watch. Same applies to overhype horse Constitution Hill.
I thought this category would be for some kind of dark horse, not the obvious ones. The entire world will be watching NY and CH, no need for a forum to vote on that.December 25, 2022 at 23:32 #16280991. As stated there was fairly lengthy nomination time window – anyone could have nominated Noble Yeats during it.
2. It doesn’t actually say “Dark Horse” and “One To Watch” is open to differing interpretations.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 25, 2022 at 23:36 #1628102Ian, I think we are intelligent enough to rather nominate a “Dark Horse” than the ones with the (almost) highest rating – the obvious ones. It’s bit of after-timing, imo…..
December 25, 2022 at 23:40 #1628104I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it Ruby
No one wins a prize on these awards
unless Chezza wins the villain of the year award,
his prize is a weekend away with gingertipsterGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 25, 2022 at 23:41 #1628106Err, I nominated Constitution Hill – so I’m clearly not as intelligent as you think!
I take your point, though, a clear “Dark Horse” category might arguably be more interesting and forward looking.

Chezza is a terrible, awful, bloke – but even Chezza doesn’t deserve THAT.
And Gingertipster definitely doesn’t deserve a weekend away with Chezza.
No one does.

December 26, 2022 at 00:48 #1628131I would call it “Dark Horse Of NEXT Year.”
Novice TRF Member is a winner.
Biscuit an even bigger winner.
And I’d go with gamble’s LEAST confusing post of the year – shorter list.
