For fun during the mundane midweek action I like to put a tiny donk on some of those who have traveled a fair distance to run one hoss.

350 – Ballyconneely Bay £5 win @ 10/3 (418 mile round trip between North Yorkshire and Hamilton)June 28, 2022 at 10:13 #1604498Good luck Chivers..
I think I read somewhere this method returns a loss over a period of time
possibly due to overbet
Selectiveness or combined with another angle could help as I’m sure there is something in itGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 28, 2022 at 13:13 #1604510Thanks Nath. Selectiveness is definitely the way to go about it.
It’s not necessarily the furthest travellers either.
It’s just something to break down the amount of low class racing form to digest. I’ve been having fun with it so far.June 28, 2022 at 17:34 #1604544No Impact, forecast rain barely materialized which didn’t help. Try again.

1m maiden stakes (class 4) for 3yo+720 – Lermontov (John Quinn/Dougie Costello) £5 win @ 17/4
50,000 guineas, already gelded before having raced. 518 mile round trip between Settrington, North Yorkshire and Bath. Might be good placement.

July 15, 2022 at 06:55 #1607009Thanks VTC. Been ignoring this lately as there has been enough good top end racing to concentrate on.
Plenty of one horse travellers today, I’ll go for….Newmarket 610 – Barney’s Bay (Tim Easterby/Rab Havlin) 7/2 b.o.g.
396 mile round trip, ran well from stall 10 at Chester last time. Been largely consistent without winning this year. Drops from a 0-80 to a 0-70, not been harshly handicapped for it.
