August 7, 2003 at 10:36 #48871Hey MrE.
Yes it shows but, do not worry as I was also hitting the ol Brandy last night after the day I had. 17 single bets, 1 winner and 16 friggin’ seconds, I wonder what the odds would have been on getting 16 seconds on the trot, lmao:biggrin:    (I had to put the laughter in as there is not an avitar that is crying).
It looks like yesterdays nightmare is about to continue, I layed Seeking Answers early this morning at 2.54,  :(

Mmm, interesting race, it has showed me something very valuable that I intend to use over the coming weeks, it is in regards to jockeyship.

August 8, 2003 at 09:31 #48875Am I missing something but surely the staking should be higher than 1 point now after two consecutive losers? Fingers crossed for a winner today.
August 8, 2003 at 11:12 #48876Iow.
Of course you are quite right, the stake has now been adjusted, just testing:biggrin:
Many thanks

August 10, 2003 at 08:54 #48880Leicester 4.20 The Persuader (4.5 points) No Bet
Because of the odds this clearly would not have been a wager at the price, and no wager was struck by myself. It was for the very same reason why there was no wager on the 5th with (La Vie Est Belle 4/5), the sp would have been far too short.
For future reference, I do not take odds of less than 10/11, and at no stage were these odds available, not even on Betfair, Sporting Odds or Betdaq.
August 10, 2003 at 16:38 #48884Hello Robotica.
You have not responded, nor even acknowledged my plea to post your system 3 days ago.
Does this silence imply you will not be posting the system then?

August 10, 2003 at 16:45 #48888Hi Max.
If I intend to post the rule(s), it will not be yet awhile. I feel that it is best to wait until a system is proven, before anyone starts getting involved and adding it to any portfolio.
Of course this is only a personal view, nonetheless, one that I feel I am comfortable with.
August 10, 2003 at 17:32 #48889Hi Robotica,
There is absolutely NO obligation on you to post the rules of this system or indeed ANY system – its yours & you are free to publish rules or not. However your reply to Maximum is a little unfair as in your very first post you point out that you have used this system for more than 10 years successfully, surely therefore it IS proven and secondly, forumites who were backing your selections were unaware of the price limitation. In fact on the 2nd of August Russian Rhythm was shown as a winner at 4/6. I fully appreciate that you may have got 10/11 or better (I did myself) but that may have been the time to mention the price proviso.
I wish continued success to the 1 A Day system.
August 10, 2003 at 18:19 #48895Hi Snowman.
Thank you for your interest.
Firstly, the second point you have made is a very valid one, and my apologies for not declaring the cut off point for prices. The Russian Rythm wager was indeed struck by myself at 11/10, and it was my opinion that it would not be any worse than 10/11 at any stage.
The posting of the rule(s) is as you say up to each individual. As I have already stated in my first post, the rule(s) will probably be posted after this system has been proven on here.
Of course "I" am well aware that it does work but, it is very easy for anyone to say that a particular system is profitable. So until a suitable time has elapsed and a profit has been shown over a fair period of time, then the rule(s) will remain with myself.
I hope that this is satisfactory and acceptable to all.
I like to think that I am open minded enough to accept criticism and suggestions, so if anyone has any suggestions for improvement in the staking plan department (not that I am unhappy with the one I use), then by all means offer them. However, enhancing profits is not the answer, to make a profit is the object.
To all.
Prices;
When a selection is made and if I am in a position to only take the sp price and feel that it will be shorter than 10/11, then I will have no wager for that particular selection.
However, if a price can be taken better than 10/11 at any stage at one of my chosen trading places, then a wager will be struck by myself. I hope this has cleared this point up.
August 10, 2003 at 22:26 #48897Hi Robot…. IMO you are correct to withold the rules until you, and everybody else, is satisfied that they are producing the goods, its a waste of time putting them out in the public domain if they turn out to be rubbish…. my own system is proof of that very point, I’ve had a tremendous 12 months with it up until I put selections on this (and another) board, now its turned to crap. I believe it’s short lived and will pull back into a good profit but nonetheless, it woulda been a mistake to put the rules out just yet. My partner in crime with this system has firm feelings about publishing our rules whilst the method is unproven, it gives us time to modify and filter, so it looks like he is correct in that assumption, you therefore, are correct in yours. Only put the rules up when your happy that your onto a winner, anyway, its fun to try and work out other peoples methods, I haven’t had time to look at yours yet…….
