Hi
I seem to have some recollection of an old Nick Mordin article in the Weekender (probably around 10 years ago) which, if I recall correctly, recommended backing horses aged 7 or younger who had been off the track for 31 days + prior to the Festival in non-novice races but there was another caveat…which I think was that they had previously won a graded race.
Can anyone recall the specifics?March 8, 2015 at 20:55 #808513Sorry I can’t however it is such a shame that he no longer keeps his website going. He is one of the best judges in the sport
March 9, 2015 at 22:47 #821457He seems a very nice man, but he’s a total nutty professor in my view. Some of his theories are so convoluted I’m not sure even he understands them. His biggest fault, imo, is the total conviction with which he puts forward these crazy systems – I don’t think I’ve ever read a ‘wealth warning’ from him, and his way of laying everything out could easily suck in the unwary and inexperienced.

NM lays out and clearly explains the logic behind every single system.
None are difficult to understand.
He then tests each system over a long period and gives the results.
NM is about the only thinking journalist we have in terms of new ways of analysing races. - AuthorPosts
