    January
The BHA announce that henceforth every race between now and the Festival in March is now officially a trial for Cheltenham.
Freezing weather wipes out most of the racing programme, however, though there are some interesting handicaps over the extended mile at Wolverhampton.
In the Lounge gamble announces he has given up posting as his New Year’s Resolution.

    February
At Newbury the renamed County Hurdle Float Up has an interesting finish as 12 runners are pulled up two out while seemingly still on the bridle.
In The Lounge gamble resumes posting.

    March
The Cheltenham Festival is such a success plans are announced to extend it to six days in 2023, Tuesday to Sunday. And the 2023 Trials will start immediately.
A new Portuguese variant of Covid is discovered and a forumite with a big hat is stranded in the country for three months on a diet of pork and clams.

    April
The Grand National is won by Irish raider Nuts And Hay in a 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 for the Emerald Isle. One English runner does nearly complete the course, though.
In The Lounge, there is fierce debate about the new Devon variant of Covid.

    May
Inspiral wins the 1,000 Guineas, Native Trail wins the 2,000 Guineas and in the law courts Kate Bush successfully takes out a restraining order against a forumite.

    June
Goldspur wins The Derby, gamble claims to be the true author of two TRF accounts he is posting under with a disguised IP address and Covid cases drop as we get into high summer.

    July
Goldspur wins the King George, summer Jump racing is abolished and an AW track is laid at Worcester.

    August
Prince Andrew releases his autobiography but it is pipped into second place in the best seller listings by Drone’s “History Of The Knavesmire Terrain,” published on the first day of the York August meeting.

    September
The St Leger is renamed the Cheltenham Festival Bumper Trial, the first juvenile hurdle of the season is run and Bachelors Hall’s preview of it crashes the Internet.

    October
Covid cases on the rise again as it gets colder and a couple of Lounge regulars have the sniffles, but won’t admit it.

    November
The Cheltenham Gold Cup Breeze Ups at Haydock Park and Newbury are hailed resounding successes. Two Lounge stalwarts are admitted into hospital, but are refusing treatment, declaring “ventilators are for big girl’s blouses.”

    December
A lengthy debate commences at TRF about whether Forumite Of The Year can be awarded posthumously and whether joint deceased winners are allowed. The discussions look destined to rumble on into The New Year.

Superb, took me quite a while to realise this is satire.

I’m still not 100% sure to be honest, it’s a fine line these days.

Totally narcisstic and ****** in everyway

    Well written andfunny in parts

Wishing myself and tank dead is a little severe but given the peanut size of your intellect it was nonetheless a fine effort

    Bravo

Re December, did you really mean “Forumite”? Fomite of the Year would seem more appropriate

He never named anyone, Ricky! Well scripted Ian, use to get this to see if it predicted anything. Grand National Winner for instance said something like will be won by a horse with a leg in each corner. Boris will be quizzing his colleagues, or something similar.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

May not have named Ricky, but it was bloody obvious who Ian meant.
Good on Ricky for being a sport.

    “******* in every way”

One of my better reviews to be fair.

    Echo GT’s “sport” remark.

…and the trials will start immediately….I’m in tears and it isn’t because of the onions I’ve just sliced! Great stuff!

This place is now a cesspit thanks to gobshite Davies and his stammering sh1thouse mate.

If corm doesn’t pull his finger out all the decent posters will be gone. I’ll stick around to vote but won’t be posting. This should be a fun place but has been allowed to turn toxic

“It is always my mission to amuse!”

Alas, evidently it is not always a universally-successful mission.

Explain why to me personally Ian. I will make a trip to Larkhill and ask for you over the Tannoy

In the meantime, do have fun. Think about your mission 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

    Cheers buddy☺️☺️
