Only a spitful jealous coward of a Human would resent AOB ringing his mother on such an occasion.
He is from the old society of where Family means something, where your mother and father bring a person up with while giving pleasures up themselves to see there children live a better life than they. Where family occasions are celebrated and where Grandmothers and Grandfathers demand respect no matter how young and raw you may be. Where your father gives you a clip around the ear if your a brat and where manners are not an option but demanded and instilled from an early age as they "you are what you create."
I am sorry, society has got so bad that a man can not ring his mother to tell her how her grandson has done in rural country ireland where they don’t watch TV only to get the weather and news.
Maybe People would like it if Joseph O Brien came from a family with a absent father and 4 or 5 other half brothers and sisters while the mother lives on the dole and there his Grand Parents about 30 years there senior. Where drug abuse was not discouraged but in fact encouraged and that there life will be lived in the confines of 5 miles in the projects or working class area’s as they call them.
