And I’m not sure why everyone’s making such a big deal about it. There must be about 10 posts asking why I called him that.

Very abusive comment. Bolger’s horses are well known for their toughness. It was only two years ago that New Approach placed in the English and Irish 2000 Guineas before winning at Epsom, or have you forgotten? Gile Na Greine stands out for me in this.
May 17, 2010 at 12:19 #296055Zarkava,Regarding Bolger and ‘Na Greine he also said if I recall that she would have won with an extra furlong and that he was going to Ascot with her next. Then he heads for the Guineas at the Curragh. Suggest you ignore him . He is putting us all on.He has absolutely no intention of sharing his plans with anybody. As to his status, he is a millionaire many times over.He is by no means the poor relation to anyone. He is a dairy man.He has milked quite a few cash cows.
May 27, 2010 at 13:39 #297110Continuing my theme of working out the race pars for big races, I moved onto the Oaks and the race par came out at
111
Complete list (18 years):

111
when the Derby is
121

May 27, 2010 at 21:42 #297194^ I’ll need that explaining if possible..
10 days without a post. This really could be a fillies handicap couldn’t it? I can’t get a handle on it all and went as low as fancying Hibaayeb given her proven group form but surely she won’t stay?
May 27, 2010 at 22:43 #297204BB, it’s probably the worst Oaks there’ll ever be. Abysmal doesn’t begin to explain it.
May 27, 2010 at 22:52 #297206crikey zark, the truth aint it! All avenues lead me to Aviate, because even if she doesn’t stay, the quality is so poor she won’t need to! You?
May 27, 2010 at 23:16 #297208Got on Aviates at 25s. Stayed on well after a shocker in the Musiadora. Should be 5/2. If Cecil can’t win the Oaks, especially with the two he has, would be a travesty for him after the Guineas.
May 28, 2010 at 09:18 #297232I just cannot have Aviate. I mooted her back when the entries were released as a nice trends fit but I just cannot see her staying, and the fact that none of the others who made the frame in the Musidora were even considered for the Oaks speaks volumes. Cecil said back in March that she’s probably a 10f filly, he said before the Musidora that if she won she’d go for the Prix de Diane and part of me just thinks that he’s going down the Oaks route due to sheer desperation after Timepiece flopping twice.
I’m not sure I can have Remember When. Again, just not sure about her stamina.
Maybe Sajjhaa’s the one.
May 30, 2010 at 17:23 #297660Sajjha for me, looked pretty special on her debut and could be anything, 8/1 looks decent value.
May 30, 2010 at 17:57 #297669Sajjah for me now to though i backed Rumoush as well. But the former is a horse like a lot.
May 30, 2010 at 18:13 #297675Stinking race….
Form Lines all over the place.
No Bet

I do think on forums like these that when people put absolutely clueless posts up they should be taken to task. How the hell can a once raced filly possibly be value for a classic at less than 10/1? Fair enough you like her and have put your money where your mouth is. But don’t claim that value enters your selection process in any way shape or form.
June 1, 2010 at 07:48 #297918Excuse me? What a patronising post…ok, maybe the word "value" is taken out of context in this instance, I meant it more as in "8/1 for a horse of immense potential who looked incredibly good in her maiden and against a field of exposed types or horses that have hardly been impressive this season, looks well worth a bet". Pedantic to say the least.
