Decision aside, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a race where so many runners were veering off a true line. They were all over the place!

The apprentice rode the second horse well,he thought like it looked, that the horse was going to win without touching him. Then the eventual winner starts to finish hard and the kid on the leader scrubs the horse along quite a bit from the post.If you look at the winner he was fast going away from them on the line.It was obviously done to appease a riot, they are fruit cakes there in racing! I knew a jock who rode there in the very early 80’s,he told me you could give the horse every possible chance and if it was favourite and you got beaten they would line the fence shouting abuse, the odd few death threats. He told me he got security a couple of times to escort him to his car, surprisingly he only did the one season!!! Thats what they do make out they are going to riot to try and bluff the stewards into declaring a no race so they can get their money back then all cheer..hooray! How about the disgraceful journalism in bagging the apprentice! Not hard to see the journo had his hard earned on the second horse!

Certainly agree the report was incredible and it seemed evident the "reporter" had done his money on the second. It read more like the sort of money talking diatribe you would see regularly on the Betfair Forum (and occasionally on this forum)

As for voiding the race – an absolutely ridiculous decision.
