Thanks steeple chasing altior is a danger for sure,
Im done for ante post on the supreme and have big bets on the above.
But my plan is that hopefully there’s going to be a £50 max bet special for supreme nr free bet like last year with a couple of bookies. And by that time hopefully mins won the Moscow flyer to keep the prices out, and with another run, I should know if altior is the danger, I will use my accounts and get the the mrs to use her accounts all on one horse to cover. And use the free bets on the Handicaps.

Not sure where to put this witb no handicap thread.
But Willie mullins has some very useful big money purchases from france who have won last season so are no longer novices. I’m suprised they haven’t been out yet but it could be a simular case to aux ptit soins who won the coral cup, first time up in england of a mark gifted to him by the handicapper.
    When do entries come out??

Huge race at punchestown on Saturday the Moscow flyer novice hurdle.
    Tombstone v min
tombstone has the proven novice form, and ran a mighty race in what imo was the deepest novice hurdle this year.
Min is a huge talking horse and he has come some way to backing it up, certainly looks the part,
I rate tombstone very very highly so in no way am i expecting an easy victory for min. god forbid min beats tombstone on the bridle. Cos it would take 1 hell of a horse to win in the same style douvan beat alpha des obeaux in this race last year.

    He’s 5/2 in places now.
If he wins this well. And thats a big if imo. I think he’ll be even shorter than 6/4.
Will help push the other prices out if he does win. For anyone wishing to bet against him.

If your ever going to lay min and I’m not. Then you’ll be taking a hell of a risk if your not going to lay him now at 3/1.

I would think the Deloitte is a more likely target for Tombstone, and would be surprised if he runs this weekend.

I’m not sure if tombstone will run but I really hope he does as we will get a concrete view of exactly how good min is.

I hadn’t given the mares novice race much of a look until today but Myska is a knocking bet at 7/1 with Bet365. Not a word of Karalee or Limini this long time and Myska has been very good thus far. She will likely go off much much shorter imo.

Quite impressed with Yanworth. 16/1 for the Supreme looks pretty fair unless you think connections will be scared off if the ground is that much quicker. I thought at the time McCoy made a horlicks in the Bumper but you have to wonder whether it was a combination of the jock and just finding himself outpaced at a critical time. If Geraghty can get him close enough he should certainly be finishing up the hill.

Listening to King it sounds as if they have been scared off two months in advance. The horse has been winning comfortably without being outpaced but it seems that someone believes a step into the unknown is the best way forward. Has JP got anything else for the Supreme, perhaps he can re-route the Triumph favourite and screw punters twice?

Beginning to wonder what is actually going to turn up against Min and Altior. The lack of perceived opposition might explain the continued support. Yanworth might well be diverted and easy to see Henderson failing to give Buvuer D’Air enough experience such that the owners are happy enough to wait for Aintree. That wouldn’t be the biggest surprise.

There’s no way Buveur D’Air misses the festival unless injured.

He’ll be out in a couple of weeks

Backed Yanworth for the supreme back in Nov. Looks like I may have done my money although he’s not dropped right out in the market

Henderson was talking about giving the horse another two runs before Cheltenham. Do you think that is likely to happen?

I’m expecting one in two or three weeks, maybe another a fortnight after. I’m not aware of any 2 mile races on trials day but there’s Ascot and Newbury. Hopefully he doesn’t have to run him in the Dovecote at Kempton because that coule be a little too close to the festival. Both Al Ferof and Menorah had their last runs in mid Feb before winning their Supremes. Something like 8 of the last 24 had run no more than twice.

A shocking Grade 2 and no surprise that Min bolted up. Appeared to cart Walsh to the front but settled a little better once in front and was never off the bridle. It must be doubtful that we will see him tested prior to the Festival. If you are not already on can’t really see any point taking 7/4 without a guaranteed run.

Lift The Latch an interesting and impressive winner of the other novice hurdle. Makes you wonder how many of these ‘wilderness’ horses JP has got. As regards the market support it appears someone pressed a button around noon.

Have to say I’m very dissapointed in the books to shorten min up so much, yet not push anything out in price. Hills being the worst, but the others arent too much better.

Yeah that was a penalty kick but he travelled well and jumped like a dream, particularly at the second last
