Richard- in modern parlance, anyone who is “woke” is NOT a right wing bigot.
Hope that helps.
January 14, 2022 at 11:26 #1577952I have no vested interest either way, but I have a dislike of people who think no rules ever apply to them and when set straight about it play the infringement of civil liberties card when they are really playing the I’m utterly selfish and inconsiderate of others card.
If Australia say you can’t come in unless you’ve had 27 jabs, are wearing a pink suit, yellow shirt and purple tie and can sing Kylie Minogue’s greatest hits in Latin, that’s up to them.
You either do as you’re bloody well told by your hosts or go home.

If he can take time out from slagging off Douglas Ross… 🤔

I pride myself on being exceedingly tight with money, but even I would consider stumping up a fee to witness that.
Great call.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"January 16, 2022 at 07:37 #1578285Although far from a Djokovic fan, I am against this ruling. I can perhaps get the “danger to public health” bit but we can all contract and spread the virus no-jabbed or triple-jabbed. In fact as Djokovic has just had the virus he is probably a much less danger to public health. The “anti-vax sentiment” is quite rightly, as his lawyers said “invalid and illogical”.
Again although not a big tennis fan, a shame this has overshadowed and will continue to overshadow the tournament.
January 16, 2022 at 07:46 #1578286Thought the second and apparently successful attempt to extradite him was because he filled his visa wrongly. Which can be looked on as fraud. But if it was on the original grounds of non vaccination then he’s only himself to blame. Believe he can’t enter the country now for at least three years.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.January 16, 2022 at 07:46 #1578287As someone who detests that whole “one rule for us, another rule for them” thing I’m actually quite glad to see someone high profile being disabused of that notion and being made an example of.
He’s a very good and reliable tennis player – won money backing him in the past – but a lousy human being by the sound of it.
All about himself to the point of sociopathy – same as all anti-vaxx and/or civil libertarians.

You mean one of his team did, although ultimately it’s down to him to check this is correct. I wonder if this “team member” will still be employed by Djokovic in the coming days.
He had exemption from vaccination as he had contracted the virus in December, even if he had done so deliberately.
January 16, 2022 at 08:09 #1578292Anyone who starts delegating to “their team” simple tasks that take just a few minutes has become too detached from reality to be worth worrying about.
Take him to the nearest harbour, stick him in a boat, point in the general direction of Serbia, and tell him – or one of his “team” – to start rowing.

This anti vaccination stance could cause problems with other tournaments.

If countries have rules then a visitor must abide by them – it is simple as that.
The main culpits here are the state of Victoria and the Australian Open Tournament.
