He was seriously considered Grass, but had to stick with The Goffer in the end, as the potential backup lust got too confusing.

Well done with the EW on him, and definitely took my eye off the ball with him at 28’s, out of one of my favourite yards. Deserved all I got for that.

Had to give Man o Work a go today

Missed a free bet yesterday, as he went very short and tied up at work, so couldn’t lay off. Similar frustration today. Delighted with the 33’s on This Songisforyou, but should’ve laid off for a free race during the week when he was a lot shorter. I’ll hopefully get a chance during the race, but either way, he’s paid his way after The Curragh.

Pushing the boat out today with three selections, though there’s an annoying R4 on the Listowel pair

I’m away for a couple of nights, so won’t be on, so I’ll stick up Sunday selections just now. Falcon Eight a regular of mine at this time of year, and especially in this race, where he’s done me proud the last two years. Could argue he should hand won on both occasions. Bet Big Gossey a lot as well, and he must have a fair chance tomorrow, though was hoping he’d be bigger

    Cambridgeshire – This Songisforyou 33’s
    1630 Listowel – Donacheady Gale 28’s EW
    1705 Listowel – Decimation 16’s

    Renaissance – Big Gossey
Irish Cesarewitch – Falcon Eight EW8/40’s

Brilliant VtC, given a good ride too.
When will I learn not to back ex Giggi horses?

Thanks Grass, he really did give it a cracker. R4 wasn’t the biggest, so chuffed to bits with that 28’s

Still think trainer can get a win from Embittered, definitely keeping an eye on him.

Few bets since Donacheady, but nothing I fancied enough to put up here

As per Race Thread though, hopeful about Bullets Hill in Persian War today

Falcon Eight was going to be main bet of the weekend EW, but not the biggest shock when he wasn’t declared for Newmarket

Runs in The Beggars End instead, and as per the thread for the race, I’ll split him with Man O Work

Topped up opening 25’s on Falcon Eight this morning

Happy Days yet again with Falcon Eight. Bigger bet, and gave a decent enough return. Hopefully get to see him before end of Flat

Bit of a strange selection this one, but I’ve bet Adaughtersdelight at Roscommon. Fairly low level stuff, but 66’s seems nuts on her Dundalk run

“Delighted” with A Daughtersdelight, and hot money back in running……just.

She’s not one I’ll be putting up regularly, but I’ll definitely be betting her when she’s a price for the foreseeable. Has an entry at Dundalk.

Quite happy with that pair at 66’s, and putting up Marettimo at 100’s. He gets occasional win, and though not convinced it’ll be today, I thought I seen enough at Fontwell to think he shouldn’t be 100’s

Smashing race at Punchestown today, and two proper favourites, Conflated and Hewick up against each other. I’ll wait and bet them later in the season when they’re bigger prices.

Couple of token gesture bets added Antepost, Midnight River, Iroko, and Percussion. Small bets for the sake of starting the threads, and the prices not that appealing really for Midnight River and Percussion

Marettimo was poor, but he’s one I’ll chip away at when he’s big odds.

Padishakh the main hope today. A repeat of York would be ideal

Just ok from Padishakh yesterday, but one I’ll probably follow.

Battleoverdoyen main selection now at Limerick. Initially raging at missing the 66’s, but happy now with the 28’s, makes much more appeal without (hopefully big R4 attached)

Suprise Package a main bet today as well

    October Handicap – Suprise Package 33’s EW4

Only planned on one main bet this weekend, but Midnight Our Fred didn’t trap. Annoyingly, I topped up on him as well, so he was a bigger Antepost loser.

I’ve went for one and the same race though. Escaria Ten was one I had high hopes for two years ago, but he came up well short of my expectations. Don’t think he was that bad for the new yard last time, and I’m sure they can win a race for them.

Seen enough from Escaria yesterday to persevere with him again. I’m sure Keighley can bring him him on for one of the upcoming Cheltenham Meetings

Really liked the run from Apple Away yesterday. Think a good prep for Newbury, and higher on the shortlist now for The Coral Gold Cup

Talking of future targets, I had high hopes for Sir Argus last year, and very interesting to see him back, having not been out last year.

Was happy with 20’s for Hurricane Ali today, so had to have a top up at 25’s. Disappointing renewal of The Old Roan, but I won’t complain if it helps the chances of Ahoy Senor

Few bets here and there this weekend, but main interest is Falcon Eight at The Curragh

Quite disappointed with Falcon. Hoping for better from Sans Bruit today, a rare Haldon Gold Cup bet for me

Although well held, happy enough with Sans Bruit, and will definitely bet him again

Was a quieter season for me last year following the Sandy Thomson yard, but been betting a few already this year. Main hope for the coming months is Mr Incredible, but they should be getting a win out of Ganapathi.

I thought he shaped well enough last time at Carlisle, and the yards runners often do well on second run after a break, so down another three pounds, more than happy to give him a go. Started chipping away at 18’s, but main bet is 14’s

    Ganapathi 18’s

Can’t believe I’m deserting Conflated, but I’ll stick with him as the season goes on.

Slipway is a horse who can put it together now and then, and I’ve started chipping away at him, though hopeful I can beat current 14’s.

Course is an unknown, and could maybe do with him a couple of pounds lower, but trip should be alright, and he’s definitely worth an in interest to me.

    Glenfarclas – Slipway 14’s

Settled on Janidil as main bet today, always liked him, and hopeful. Jumping the main concern
